Thats has to be a great feeling when you achieve this skill and create a fire. Hopeing to do the same soon as I'm just getting interested in bushcraft. It really is a powerful tool to be able to do that. A skill that can decide whether you live or die.

I'm not an expert. I tried for 1 years this tecnique before i learned it. Yet i want give you my suggestions (I hope it is a pleasant thing): I think if you work with entire bow (for all its lenght) and if you start slower and then, when you see smoke, improve speed, i think it will be more easier. However congratulations, it is no easy, your woods looked very hard! Some green leafs in socked's hole decrease friction. Greetings from Italy! Roberto.

Great effort. Did you use soft or hard woods for the spindle and baseboard?
@bluesGs11 жыл бұрын
Thanks. They were not really hard wood. The spindle is hazel wood and the board is ground ivy. Thanks for watching. G
