Lovely that Steve, great camp set up although i don't use my Ionosphere in winter i find the nights too long in the small tent, great bit of kit for hiking in summer when you are only in it for a few hours. Beautiful photography and the night cam gotta get one, i was out the other night and i could hear the wild life all around, would love to get some footage. Fantastic vid again Steve. Cheers and ATB. Jim.

Hi Jim. I have spent a lot of the summer in bivvie bags, so the tent seems huge to me. My problem with it is the outer fly doesn't seem to fit, leaving caps around the edge letting in cold air? Like you say, perfect for summer. The night scope is great, better for open spaces or watching animals at their holes, as the field of vision is very small making it hard to find moving wildlife in woods. Cheers, Steve.

Pondguru Setting the camera by the rabbit burrow, I thought I would only catch rabbits or maybe a fox, I was surprised to see how many creatures used it. It was only up for 3 nights. Steve.
@pondguru7 жыл бұрын
Outside the holes of rabbits there will be a nation of insects since the rabbits generally mark their territory and are constantly excavating new earth so I can see why the vole and mouse turned up. What is the make of camera? The pictures were nice and clear.

Pondguru If I remember right it's a bushnell aggressor no glow. It's good, but is slow to start filming, I can miss some wildlife walking past sometimes. Steve.
@pondguru7 жыл бұрын
Yes it does look like bushnell - I have one of those no glow and a low glow and I find the depth of focus is not as good a your video of close subjects. How long ago did you buy it? maybe they have tweaked the design.

Your camp forest is well used there. Fab photography as expected.. amazing the amount of things, animals, you get to observe once you open your eyes and shut up... another good wild camping film Steve, so much to see, good fire pit, the kit - you obviously love, nice little tent, I'll look into that one for some above the tree line wild camping in the alps I still want done some time. Cheers and thanks!!
@craftywildcamps7 жыл бұрын
spijkerpoes The tent is a good size, but I can't get the outer shell to fit properly, so there is always a big gap around the sides? This lets a little cold air in. No good for winter, great for summer and spring. Steve.

Kent Survival Hi Andy. It's a Bushnell Equinox Z Digital Night Vision Monocular 6 X 50mm. Great for open spaces or by a animals den. Picture quality is better close range, difficult to use in a woodland due to a narrow angle of view. Thanks for watching. Steve.

I am really enjoying your videos! A question i have is what is the difference between placing a pot directly on the coals rather than hanging it above the flames? I have seen you do both.

JM I prefer to hang the pot above the fire, but for a quick 'on the go' fire, placing it on the coals works fine, although you tend to mainly heat one side of the pot more. Thanks for watching. Steve.
