BUSHMAN upright fridge LONG term review. 4WD 12v FRIDGE.

Bushman upright 85L fridge runs for 450 days straight.
My long term review of this fridge i can say its been a great fridge with no issues so far. The fridge uses around 2 amps but can vary due to the variable speed designed compressor. I do wish in the future Bushman could make these both fridge and freezer functions also.
I would honestly spend my money and buy x2 of these fridges for my next canopy lay out because i like them way more the chest style portable fridges.

If the beer is cold, temp is fine.

@@mothergoose3064 Totally agree :) Upright fridge, especially low-power ones, will fluctuate internal air temps alot more than a chest, as the cold air falls out as soon as the door is opened. Then it takes a little while to recover, so we leave digital temp gauges out of our uprights as they are inaccurate compared to the temp of the beers.

Very easy to stop the shelves sliding. Remove shelf from fridge, pull the little arms out a little bit on each side and refit. Should now be a tight fit. Was told this by bushman.

Shelf sliding: Pull out of fridge, bend slightly front to back so they grip the slots in the fridge body. Don't bend very much; slide back in carefully. Thanks for the review!

Go to Bunnings and get the power cord clips that go on the wall of your home. Place them on the back wall and they will snap close shelves no longer slide forward.

Dometic has an upright that you can use as either a fridge or freezer and if you just want another fridge like the one you have just get a kings, they are identical at a third of the price and twice the warranty. Uprights are the best though for sure 👍

I removed one shelf and bought two Decor 10L plastic tubs which effectively become drawers which make it super easy to fully stock and access stuff. Flipping the door doesn’t always work as in my setup it wouldn’t open as far.

Nice man, I went with the Engel st90f as my work is a dealer and got it for a steal, love my upright the best thing I did on my canopy, Mrs loves it more haha no more slides l, no more reaching in on step ladders Side note: Engel does do a seperate fridge or freezer model aswell for anyone wondering.. also they have straps screwed to the back wall to stop sliding shelves, the handle/latch feels dicky and the compressor is exposed on the back but Im happy to deal with that for the bigger freezer space and reliable swing compressor.. oh also it doesn't have a light but hey ya can't win em all 🤷 So far I'm really happy with the Engel I built a cavity so nothing can fall behind or rub against the back but for anyone wondering it's a great alternative to the bushmans, also the st90f is internally 85L capacity but bushmans 85 isn't internal 85L is measured off exterior a mate got caught out with his on comparison to mine.. but pros and cons to both units 👍

I’d be keen to get a upright for my canopy when my current chest one needs replacing. (2 years constant running now) Bushmans was top of the list and this video has solidified the choice like the zoopers and n your freezer lol.

I did. Love the bushman. Been running mine for about 6months straight and love the thing. Never drops below 90%. The best thing i like is that i can run a slide out table underneath the fridge and have my switches and have my manager30 screen up there as well. Love your work mate.

With the shelves sliding literally just give the outside rails a pull and just bend them slightly outwards.

Clear rubber tubing over the ends of the shelves holds them in tighter.

Hi mate great video on the fridge got one myself. I reckon if you put the temp all the way down you’ll have a fair crack at reaching freezer temps. I could be wrong but it would be a great demonstration. Cheers

$1400 for a small refrigerator.. I went to the thrift shop and bought a standup mini refrigerator for50 bucks and that’s what I have in my jeep and it works perfect.. I love your shows and everything about all the landing but everything is just way overpriced.

Hey mate, have you thought about using tile wedges under the front of each side of the shelves to stop the sliding out. Just the little yellow ones look like they are made to fit. Cheers

Hey mate, just came across the video, good shit! You had any problems with the freezer getting ice on the outside and water dripping through the fridge? I’ve got a 130L bushman’s and that seems to be the big one, I’m thinking maybe the door doesn’t seal properly sometimes and that could be the issue? Cheers. Harry

what is your battery setup like? i am running the kings upright 85L with 160W solar and 100amp renogy lithium battery and had it turned on for about 3 days then it just turned off?? any ideas would be great

hi i am thinking of buying a Bushman fridge i have spoken to about 6 people that own them they have all said the icebox ices up often and you have to defrost the freezer, where other fridge brands dont have that problem is there any other faults
