This is cheaper than black bush by me but more expensive than red bush. Got the bottle for $25. As a bourbon guy, I’ve very much enjoyed this one. Also nice how it’s higher than 80 proof.

Glad you are enjoying it! Around me Both Black and Red are around $25-$28 each. Super happy it was higher than 80 proof also.

Just got the whisky and I love it beside my favorite whisky (Connemara peated irish whisky), I will give it a 7 out 10

I actually just bought a bottle of Connemara a couple days ago! Gotta say it's amazing! Cheers!

can you buy it in England? because I never found a site that sells it in England only in USA

I'll do some searching and see if I can get some info for you!

I saw this for the first time today. It's the same price as red and about $10 cheaper than black. may buy a bottle the next time I go to the city but if it's not on par with black it will likely be a one time try.

Black is supper good, I'll do an A-B comparison video between the two and see how it goes! I will say the Peaky version is closer to the standard Bushmills since Black goes into a Sherry Cask. But in my opinion both are great for different reasons. Cheers!

Great on Ice. Citrus edge. Thick. Is this different from regular Bushmills? Thanks
@jakehouston77212 жыл бұрын
This is a higher proof than standard and aged in bourbon barrels. Also instead of aged 3 years it’s minimum 3 years which means it has some higher age statements in it.
@steveh.3370 Жыл бұрын
Regular Bushmills White is 40%. Prohibition is 46%. Big difference.

I see that Glenlivet 14 next to you! If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re in for a real treat!

That was one of my first Glenlivet. You are 100% correct, it is quite a treat! Such a great sip!

@@thelastcallyt that sounds like a great introduction to Glenlivet! Glad to hear you liked it. Would really enjoy a video about what price range you think gives you the most bang for your buck, in regard to whiskey. I’ve personally found the $60-$80 price range has served me quite well. There are many very flavorful, smooth options and I use quite a few of them to cook with. So they’ve proven to be extremely versatile, while not making me feel like I’m wasting $60 adding a couple shots of Blue Label to my French onion soup or something ridiculous like that lol They’ve also been great gifts and awesome to share without having to be embarrassed that you picked up a $15 bottom barrel whiskey 😅
@thelastcallyt2 жыл бұрын
@@crimecast72 I've got several video ideas in the pipeline :). That is one of the many haha. I would agree on that pricing range also, not sure of your area but in my part of the US finding a great scotch can be hard without some hunting. If I'm lucky I can grab some scotches in the mid $50 range but its rare. Glenlivet does a pretty solid job on pricing, availability, and flavors. Plus the bottle shape gives that "fancy" look and feel without breaking the wallet. Speaking of Glenlivet...I need to grab the 15 French oak to try...humm....

Is it less “candy apple” than standard bushmills??

I would say so.

There’s just something about young whiskey that doesn’t appeal to me taste wise. At least they found a way in the blend to counter act the “nail polish” scent/taste that normally is a characteristic of young whiskey. 6/10 for me.
@thelastcallyt2 жыл бұрын
Oh I agree. There are several "young whiskies" out there that cannot shake the nail polish taste.

Unlike women whiskey mellows with age and becomes a soft sweet intimate moment for a man, a woman better with age but I agree young is not fun

So it's young 92 proof Bushmills.

Mostly, it's also non chill filtered. But it seems to be the only differences.

When a man wants water he should drink that but if a man wants to drink whiskey then let the whiskey stand alone

@@thelastcallyt yes and at the end of the day if it’s you’re hooch drink it you’re way . For my part if I want a cocktail I’ll drink vodka a spirit by design to be neutral however whiskey takes time passion and wood none of which should be interfered with by adding coke

@@ronaldvoigt6761 Personally I do not drink my spirits on water or ice either. However, I always do a drop of water test for new whiskey drinkers out there. Many people are stepping into spirits and some need that bit of water or ice to "mellow" it out for them. After my past year+ of doing reviews I've seen people be "shunned" because they are new to whiskey and people degrade them for not liking it neat but won't allow them to experiment with the spirit. I'd rather welcome someone in with a drop of water or on ice and let them work up to neat than never be in the Whiskey Community at all.

@@thelastcallyt hard to argue. I’m a mutt but Scottish is in there though I prefer Irish whiskey. The history of all of it really. Pertaining to the point you made I do agree certain whiskies may benefit from a drop of water to release hidden flavors. I’d argue most couldn’t tell the difference and any spirit bottled at 40 abv needs no water. Currently loving the sexton whilst trying to avoid opening the bushmills peaky blinder limited addition until I can secure a few more bottles . Cheers

@@ronaldvoigt6761 I 100% respect that man. On another note, Sexton is such an underrated Irish in my opinion! Every time I pour a glass I instantly regret not drinking it more often. Fairly easy to find (in my market) and easy on the wallet haha. Cheers!
