Excellent review. I remember flying to Prague with BA in 2001 and flying out on a Boeing 757 and returning on a 767.

Thanks Robert Mansfield. I also had the chance to fly to Madrid on a 767 - nice smooth flight. A posted a video about it

Glad you liked Prague. That's was the first city break I took on my own and really enjoyed myself and certainly did a lot of walking. Budapest was my next favourite city, although I went there with a friend, and the weather was perfect.

Thanks Robert. I love BUD and would very happily visit again. Prague was fantastic but some areas were just so busy with visitors (and I contributed to this overcrowding) so I would be interested in discovering alternative destinations such as Gdansk, Minsk, and Tbilisi. I went to Kiev 2 years ago and really enjoyed it!!

I preferred Bud over PRG, as there was more to see. I actually have a lady friend, who is well travelled, and she went to Bucharest last year, and loved it, so I may be tempted to go. I am going to Krakow with my young Cousin in August, so am looking forward to that trip.

Yes Krakow is fantastic. When I went there, I noticed adverts for a nice sleeper train service to Prague - maybe an idea for an open jaw ticket? Bucharest could be really good. I went there - hmmm 15 years go. Things were very different then. I read some good articles about it and very affordable destination too

Bucharest is very affordable, and my friend said, that the hotel she stayed as was one of the best she has ever stayed in, and she has travelled all over Europe. I have used the German DB, and that is also a good way to get around Germany and beyond. I paid 39 Euro one way from FRA to AMS. The journey time is around 4 hours.
