The Indian government is sometimes quite pathetic. I too have faced the same system in Pune. Completely insensitive system for the enterprises. Siddharth was a friend of mine. We met in the mid 90s before he started CCD. We often discussed about starting a coffee chain whenever he visited Singapore. A very humble human being. It will be sad if he is has really left this world. Lets hope for the best.

Hi Sir, this is an excellent explanation. If you look closer at the day to day lives of the people of India, this is the case as well. I witnessed a motor vehicles department police group treating a driver for a crime in the most inhuman way even when the driver is ready to abide by the rules. The driver was ready to pay the fine but the group handled the person as a terrorist or a criminal. Sir, surely we all make mistakes in our day to day life knowingly and unknowingly. If we are law abiding citizens then why treat people like criminals ? I hope this behavoir of Goonda Raj will change. When there are numerous bills and amendments to check on the people shouldn't there be similar checks on the bureaucracy ?

He was seasoned businessman and such incidence he must have faced many times in his long carrier as an very influential businessman..and his liabilities were easily covered by the hid assets. .than why he suddenly decided to end his life ??? it's a clear case of some kind of mental health problem. He has stated clearly that his assets are more than the dues he has to pay but IT had attached all his assets so he cannot sell it to clear the dues either to IT or to private lenders.More over IT doesnot trust its own country men/women and specially if they are in business so even if you come clean the Commissioner or the Raiding gang from IT always suspects you are hiding more than what they can dig out so they start another route DEAL where if the business man agrees to pay the raiding group a certain some money as bribe they will relax and if not paid then something else will happen .

It's not the amount but the act of hoping to escape the punishing in spite of his 'connections' So a small person on the pavement and have a loan on his head is driven to death while A large loan taker like Malya escapes. Where is the question of insensitive for one and facilitatory for the other. The ho est taxpayer pays his taxes on time in full and doesn't default ,inspite of the children's future or his dying aged parents medical bills.
