I agree. I can relate to the Nigeria finger foods business. @Omogeskitchen started a Puff-Puff Mix business and has sold thousands of Mixes since she started in December. All you do is add water to the mix and fry and you have your naija-tasting puff-puff. She has also received some interviews from investors. Its the way to go in Canada!

Talk is cheap. If it was easy to start a business in Canada, every nooks and corners in Canada will be fill of retail stores. FYI, 90% of new business failed within 5 years of starting. I am not against starting a business but get a job first that pay your bills and start a side hustling aside that you test proof over times before leaving the job that pay your bills. That is my experience from someone who lives in the USA.

Keep applying for the jobs. Tell that to people who have submitted over 1000 applications and counting. Nothing is "easy"

It sometimes comes to the only option. services like Hair , you just need to schedule when you are off and do it to like church people and country community, 200$ on hair with just 2 clients per month is 400$ extra , it may not be dependable but can alleviate stress in that start. you cant get that anywhere without working 3 daysx 8hr of minimum wage, plus 3 hours travels and costs. Just start the side hustle and do it. the jobs are sooo hard to get at the moment, but learning the skill to plait hair takes 45-100 hours. you will apply for the job for five months and still be floating. apply and also have a small hustle

It is that easy to start a business in Canada. Anyone can start earning money in Canada with their legal name (sole proprietorship) without a job contract, right now today. There’s nothing to register with the government to start working. It is much easier to start a business and service biz a than it is to wait around for months going for a job today in Canada. You’re welcome to come and try both dear American. Oh and BTW talk is not cheap in Canada when it comes to small business. The Canadian economy is 70% of small business. We are small business. We have very little big business. We buy that stuff from our neighbours the Americans. So in fact mostly everyone has started a small business in Canada. 70 per cent. FYI “business” is more than a line up of retail stores.
