I think people mis-understand fashion as it's definitely a sign of the times of bygone eras. What was popular may very well not be popular now. That's not even hind-sight, because what's en vogue now, may be ridiculed a decade later. But fashion is ever-changing (and in many ways cyclical too). For example, Tommy Hilfiger pretty much died as a brand in early 2000s until he had a renaissance up until a few years ago. Mom high waist style jeans from the 90s is back in style. Champion was dead in the water (as they were sold at Target and Costco up until 5 years ago) and now is one of the more iconic fashion brands currently. The comments of people saying that Juicy track suits are ugly??? Track suits were popular in the 70s/80s. Ever hear of RUN-DMC? Think about what you wore say 10, 15, 20 years ago and realize that you may not have been so different in your fashion choices.

Also if it wasn’t as flared but more of a jogger, or even just straight legged. The early 2000s were ATROCIOUS in terms of the fit of clothes, with the low waisted pants and longgg torsos. If they kept the same idea as before but tweaked it to be more flattering I would wear it. maybe with simpler branding as well, I think most people are over the gigantic sparkly logos. With athleisure and early 2000s aesthetics being popular again these could really take off

Laura Ordoñez yes, but it was called “sportswear” and was associated with upper class white populations who could afford to play polo or tennis. athleisure is the modern incarnation of sportswear, is based upon different sports like basketball and yoga and is more associated with urban culture and the rise of digital social media. you’ll see joggers on celebrities of all colors, but also on upper middle class teenagers and inner city youth. so while the idea of wearing athletic clothing every day started ages ago, the modern version of what we call athleisure probably started back in the 90s with rap artists, but Juicy Couture is a solid milestone in its timeline.
