i love how people comment how it is such a waste of money. First its their choice, secondly these watches often either depriciate only slightly or increase in price. Third it probably cost less than a few percent of their monthly income and lastly it is their money. For all we know they probably have donated more than all of you combined...

Yeah, you can get some great used Breitling Superoceans in the $1k range. Most brands people think are very expensive can be had for much more reasonable prices, especially the used market.

And that's the reason they could use knock-off watches, and no one in the wolrd would think it was a knock-off watch. As you said, these are smart guys. Why pay $10K when you could pay $500, get the same exact look on the watch and still have 95% of the money left? Quality isn't the same, but if you use it once in a while, who would notice if your watch is working properly, or not.

These guys literally have millions of dollars, 5k+ for a nice watch is pocket change to them. Plus, you might be able to fool normal people, but anyone well versed in expensive luxury goods (people that they probably interact with) would probably be able to spot the differences

ThePokerhand you can see buying an expensive watch as an investment. I've been buying and selling expensive watches over the past year's and 9/10 times i get my money back with profit. And buying these expensive watches isn't only an investment, but it is also fun to own a well made piece in stead of a mass produced one that's made by little childeren.

they just put some photos on some people none of the watches they showed (for the most part) where the right once, the Toyota CEO had a date magnifier and the Patek didn't. and Fords CEO had 2 dials at the right where in the picture there was only one
