As illustrated here, well done acoustic recordings could capture piano music fairly well, particularly the middle and upper ends of the keyboard. I've heard many of Busoni's recordings, both acoustic and from rolls, which attest to his legendary talent on the instrument. Thanks much, as always.

I would like to hear remastered recordings of Karel Ančerl (for example, Shostakovich's Symphonies No. 7 and 10, Stravinsky`s Le sacre du printemps, Petrouchka and Les noces etc).

We'll look into that. Ancerl's recordings on Supraphon are usually so good we could hardly hope to improve them. You might try Googling his output to see if the European editions are available, the American issues of his recordings are really inferior.
