Nearly 30 years since I’ve played this game but I still remember this song and hum it to myself all the time.

I remember how popular the game was back when it was new. Unpretentious, likely produced with little money, it was incredibly fun. I'm not a fan of the visual style later entries in the series used, though.

I know it was for marketing reasons, but I wish they had kept the original title “Puzzle Bobble”, since Bust-A-Move was only chosen for the “cool” sound of the name and makes no sense otherwise.

Puzzle Bobble on the SNES and Puzzle Bobble 4 on the PSX are my favourite entries in this small, underrated franchise. The SNES version looks and sounds great and the controls feel very good too.

Had this for PlayStation and loved every bit of it. Never played this version. The enemies you fight against in the PS version was really fun to me as a kid.

The PS1 had ports of Bust A Move 2, 3 (as BAM 99), and 4, not this one. The 3DO also had a port of this same game.

So... the dragons from *_"Bubble Bobble"_* were in this game? Never heard of this game before, but I'm *totally* considering a playthrough of it. *_"Bubble Bobble"_* was my *_JAM_* as a kid.

If you like this one, also be sure to check out the sequels on the Saturn/N64. You may have heard of this series as _Puzzle Bobble_ before.

I'm a sucker for these types of puzzle games. Getting the right color and seeing everything fall down is satisfying.

Eh, these types of _puzzle_ games aren't really my cup of tea. I would get bored of this in, like, 5 minutes. I like my _puzzle_ games with strategic, sometimes hectic, or even brainstorm heavy gameplay.

How much would it suck to have Bub and Bob's canon-manning jobs? It looks way too tiring.

Plus, once they defeat Super Drunk at the end, aren’t they supposed to turn back to humans? Them getting that treasure in the end also reminds me of the *bad* ending of Rainbow Islands. ...did they actually get what they wanted in the end?
@Dorian_Scott3 жыл бұрын
I think that the whole cannon-carrying bit makes sense. These two dragons are capable of shooting bubbles out their mouths. Could you honestly imagine them shooting cannonballs from their mouths? Let alone, to fire them at all the cute enemies from *_"Bubble Bobble"_* ?

I had Bust a Move in PSX and loved it and recently discovered this version for SNES and also like it. My only issue is the lack of diversity in soundtrack. I get the fact about the constraint of the catridge but the same music during all the game may be annoying.

Bubble Bobble had 1 song throughout the game, other than the games endboss, people call it catchy.
