But everyone loved busta rhymes 🤔 I see slept on and underrated being fired about a lot recently lol someone commented on a Roxy music video and was like Roxy never got the appreciation they deserved 😂 I was born in 85 and even I know Roxy music were absolutely massive and still sell well today

Slept on? What are you taking about dude? Busta rhymes songs were the main party jams of the later 90s. He had a unique style of rap and videos that made him stand out from the rest.

Busta was well regarded as someone who always brought it on the Mic. Once he blew as a Solo Artist, his projects stayed selling A Million or better, and he was a constant go to for a DOPE FEATURE. NO ONE SLEPT ON BUSSA BUS. NO ONE.

Back when this dropped, West coast gangsta rap was a HUGE movement thanks to artists like Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and 2 Pac... This was so fresh and the flow was so energetic. East Coast definitely had a style all it's own...

R. I. P Galt Macdermot my fucking hero. I grew up in the hood recording cassettes. My dad had a Galt Macdermot vinyl called woman is sweeter and that kept me out the hood. Out of gangs once I learned who he was what he did. I started making beats. I'll forever be grateful to them.

It’s insane how much control and energy rap artists used to put into their vocals and lyrics + how their vocals were so controlled. When you listen to this song in high quality audio you can hear almost what would be called Vibrato, but I could be mistaken on the term .

I was too young to appreciate how ill the beat is. Busta soloed debut on the scene the best way possible with this creative, high energy-driven cut. Can't get enough of this, the ODB version or his follow-up Missy Elliott-composed single "It's a Party" (Remix) ft. SWV. He's a legend and should be respected as such. The man is extremely underrated by today's standards. He's been robbed of so many awards during his prime.

I love Busta. I love his take on the lyric, "Woo-hah! I got you all in check." FUN FACT, that lyric was done in originally by a group called the 8th wonder. Beastie Boys were the first to sample it in "Shake Your Rump". Have a pleasant day. 😊
