Excellent video. Really gives you a understanding for the complexity and engineering that goes into one of these machines.

I bet this thing turns more heads better than any 2 million dollar exotic super car. This is a very high quality video. This is terrific material for a scale modeler like me to try scratch building.

This is a 1,200 metric tonne crane. The closest comparable Liebherr would be the LR 11350, which is 1,350 metric tonnes. The smaller version, the LR 1750, can take days to build up, and then several days more to tear down. I don't recall how long it takes to build an 11350, but it's not quick. a hydraulic all terrain also has the advantage of flexibility in the main boom length, and takes far less room to assemble than a crawler.

WOWOWOWOW, thanks EVER so much for the video, this is something you would never see normally. It really shows just how bloody ingenious Leibherr have been with the design of this crane, really clever trick stuff.

no, they come from the Netherlands(Dutch). they are moving a LIEBHERR LTM 11200-9.1. they started in 1973. Mammoet is dutch for Mammoth.

to make the crane road legal to transport. with the boom on the crane it would have probably been over height, and definatly over weight
@Alfcorr12 жыл бұрын
Depending on how many parts you disassemble the crane, but minimum, one for the base plaform (self powered), other (fairly big) for crane and another for ballast parts. Count on 2 additional trucks and maybe 5 - 6 people for the assembly.

@kratzerxxx @kratzerxxx no there is no Phil based Mammoet, but they do contracts projects here. Mammot pays for local riggers from few rigging companies here like Royal Cargo.

I dont get it. Why do they make a "mobile" crane when you have to disassemble the boom? Why not just get a crawler crane. It lifts more load.

Makes you wonder why a crane like this was even built, surely its not for weight, has to be for reach, or height, a company could probably buy two have size cranes and make more money.
