+Not really that great. The old architecture is beautiful & biking is a good thing (but watch your step in front of bikes). Healthcare is pretty crappy, too, and expensive, unlike their nearby neighbor France, where it's free. Holland is dirty, the food basically sucks, they still eat a lot of animal based, greasy crap, most of their forests are gone, and the people are pretty conservative and backwards. Mostly passive re positive change.

Have you ever been in the netherlands? Did you know that the dutch are really good with water and that the water is very clean? Drinking water from the pipe in the netherlands taste like nothing because it is so clean. If i drink water in NYC it has this taste. PS: Its not a river its a canal and its getting cleaned pretty often.

Someone who apparently deleted there comment said the site says that they do say to get a tetanus shot. Anyway I did just find this "At present the main polluting factor of Amsterdam’s canals is the "overflow" of sewerage during heavy rains. Waternet spokesperson Maarten Ouboter explains that during and after downpours rainwater flows into the sewer system causing the contents to overflow at hundreds of points around the city.
