Busted! Returning Bottles and Cans Using the Tomra T-83 Reverse Vending Machines

These are actually Tomra T-83s. The 53s have a door in the back, while the 83s have a "schwooper" as it is known in the RVM community. That's quite unfortunate that they wouldn't let you film in there. I've had good luck so far but there will definitely be places that aren't so fond of it.

Actually, the T83's can be configured to have a door in the back as well. It's a modular machine. I installed these in Michigan for 12 years. That "schwooper" you refer to is just called a sorter. The belt fed part in the front is called a Tran-rot.
