I used to have a K5 Blazer when I lived in South Georgia. Attended a few events b4 I got black listed for suggesting a street drive to qualify for the DoT class! They do it in drag racing to prove that the cars are legit street cars that can complete a 30 mile round trip drive! Too many trucks run in the DOT class that can’t even stretch drive five miles without overheating or just won’t pass inspection! Like no headlights or turn signals or other safety equipment! The way I see it is if you have to trailer your DOT class truck to an event 5 miles away then it’s not a street truck! I’m not just referring to the Dot tire class, more so the daily driver classes and a few other entry level classes that guys skirt the rules on cause they can’t compete in the class they should be running in because those guys in those classes are doing the same! Years ago we actually had to pass a full dot inspection during tech and even attended a few events that if you trailered it in you didn’t qualify for those classes. They had a trailer drop zone a few miles down the road for out of towners to unload!

There were freed slaves that fought for the south. There were freed slaves that owned slaves. There were union officials that owned slaves. There were free black men living in this country over 100yrs before the revolution. It's more complex than you think. Not cut and dry. Try reading some books before you make ignorant comments on yt
