@@GenXMediahiphopbattlerap Being told to show up to towns and either not being booked or not being prepared for booking, being made to work with and put over Ryback who legitimately injured him more than once, not being given the same media, movie and charity opportunities as Cena, even as WWE champion, being usurped by The Rock as a part timer in the main event scene, having a staph infection on his back and being made to compete under a cocktail of drugs that ultimately made him shit himself on a Smackdown in 2013 instead of being given time off to have surgery and heal, getting fired on his wedding day and learning of it through fedex. So if it was just about a Wrestlemania main event, I could understand it as an overreaction.

Punk does not owe anything to anybody, He felt at that time the company was not fair to him, he was burnt out, unhappy, sick and he left. He left because of the culture wwe was carrying at that time. And now both wwe and punk have changed., they grew, And their mindset has changed.

The common denominator was Vince. He was the one responsible for all of those things. He was the reason why we lost punk in his prime. He was the reason why Sasha Banks walked out. He was the reason why we almost lost Randy Orton for good. It was the reason why AJ Lee left. I guess he was too busy counting his money and doing unspeakable things to interns to care about his employees. Thankfully , Vince is GONE. 😊 gone in disgrace and never coming back. It is no coincidence that once we got rid of the cancer in WWE that we saw so many good things start to happen, including the return of Punk.

Why is Dave n bully bringing it all back to undertaker match? Punk wasn't only stiffed one time he was the best in world that means you earned it but he wasn't main event more than just that one time and fans knew punk was best, everyone did but, that wasn't the only reason he left, it was also heath both physical and mental, we know punk was correct, WWE have told us punk was correct with there actions, punk wanted better protection cuz guys had to wrestle hurt, there was a drug issue pills etc, there was locker room issues, none of thee's things exist anymore because punk was correct and him leaving helped highlight the issues, is dave really pretending he prefers seph in this feud cuz he is telling the truth then why isn't K,O resonating with him? K,O is telling nothing but truth too but it doesn't mean his actions are.justified, just the same as seph being bitter doesn't resonate, seph and the others all got the benefits of punk leaving and highlighting some WWE issues.

Have we forgotten all the shots WWE took on Punk? Remember Stephanie saying something along this, "If you continue, you will last more than how long he did" to the audience chanting his name after his UFC loss? The so called berating and taking shots were NOT just one sided from Punk, I remember even Seth, Cena, Roman and maybe even HHH took shots at his UFC failure, despite him having the balls to go in there and fight for real.

Punk had to leave so he could heal mentally and physically and emotionally. And now that he’s healed, he’s back. 😊

There's a lot more to the story than Punk not being thrilled to wrestle Taker at Mania. You're leaving out a lot about what he was going through physically and mentally, which was a way bigger priority than a match. They ran him into the ground, he was featured all year until Dwayne came back. Punk's side is just as understandable, and relatable, as Seth being hurt about it.
@Pepsi_toni
@Pepsi_toni 4 күн бұрын
That’s precisely why people are siding with punk. Seth wants this fight. He’s the one with the problem. Punk is focused on leaving his issues in the past, finishing off his career the right way and accomplishing a life long goal. Why would we root for the guy who can’t seem to leave well enough alone? Especially when he said this same argument against Cody when he first came back, even brought up him destroying the throne, but now he’s fine with Cody. So why still hold it against punk?
@Jeff_Pryce
@Jeff_Pryce 4 күн бұрын
BINGO. All Punk has talked about since he came back one year ago was one thing: finally getting the main event of Wrestlemania. That is his one goal. That is his mission statement. That’s his story that he needs to finish. He has literally been minding his own business trying to work his way up towards the goal. Yet all Seth has been doing was the same thing that the Scottish Crashout Drew McIntyre was doing: making it weirdly personal. Over things in the past that the audience simply doesn’t care about. So from the larger perspective of the bigger audience, we have a guy coming back trying to accomplish goals, and then there’s a guy who keeps trying to pick a fight with him every time for absolutely no reason whatsoever. Thus Seth comes off like a jerk, and a bit of a bully, and a “pick me” at the same time. Of course the fans will side with Punk. 😂

Anytime he asked Vince for time off, Vince said no. Punk got surgery on his elbow and then 3 weeks later, Vince asked him to work a TLC match against Ryback. Punk had all right to walk out. Everyone has a breaking point and Punk hit his. Also Dave thinks it’s working with Seth getting over more than Punk is beyond nuts. Most of the fans are going to cheer Punk no matter what. I think you guys are forgetting that CM Punk fans watch WWE because many of them are anti establishment (when it comes to Vince and how the earlier WWE was run). Rollins coming out and trying to rally everyone about how/why he left originally isn't going to go anywhere because he's low-key aligning himself with the previous regime. So he winds up looking more like an abused spouse trying to defend the abuser than he does having actual "facts". As some of the others here have commented, he had other reasons for leaving. 6:39 Two things: 1) Punk was wrestling injured with two bad knees and he was on the verge of walking out at the time due to injury and creative frustration with Vince. I don’t expect him to be super enthusiastic at that time. 2) Punk clearly wanted the main event of wrestlemania. The Undertaker is a legend, yes, but he was not main eventing. Punk is a very goal oriented type, from what I can tell. People like that deal and either in success or failures, nothing halfway. By being passed over for the main event of Wrestlemania, which is his dream, Punk felt he failed his goal that year, so it’s understandable that he wouldn’t be enthusiastic about his spot on the card. 3) No offense, but after dealing with I’m assuming hundreds of fans that week and multiple interviews, I could see why Punk would not be moved by your enthusiasm of a match he himself was not enthusiastic about at the time.

💯. Also Punk was champion at the time and had the longest streak in the "Modern" era and dropped it to an old/part timer just to sell tickets for Mania. Being champion for that long automatically qualified him for main eventing WrestleMania in that year 2013. A streak vs streak match would've been more entertaining than Rock vs Cena for the second time. Rock/Cena ll match was horrible and deserved to be in the mid card.

If it were as simple as Punk quit because he never got the main event at Mania he wouldn't mean as much as he means to the overwhelming majority of the fans. The fans aren't stupid. They know things had been the shits for years and that Vince was not only out of touch but the biggest reason the product was suffering. The fans know damn well if Punk doesn't walk out on the company there's zero chance Daniel Bryan gets put in the main event at that years Mania...a main event he should have been written in ink a year earlier. So many of the positive changes in the decade he was gone were because he had the courage to walk away and again the fans know this. The person who should have major issues with Punk should be Roman Reigns..Because of what punk said about him in interview that Vince wanted to push him made him look very strong... People started to turn on him hate on him while he was doing his job.. Instead it was punk who was unprofessionally breaking the kayfabe... all that thing about medical attention not given main events etc are fine but why did you have to drag someone else... People would still have thrown their complaints on Reigns character but wouldn't have hated to this extent

Punk was physically ill months before he left and was given the task by Vince to make Roman look strong. All of this occurred during house shows teaming with Bryan against the shield. There were clips of Punk puking ringside. Punk was never given time off and as a good soldier showed up to work despite being mentally and physically drained which resulted in him leaving the company.

Punk was fired on his wedding day by Vince McMahon. This isn't leaving this is being forced out. WWE was a toxic rotten place to be at that time. Lagreca and his revisionist history sucks. Is he kissing Vince's ass or the young bucks because Punk kicked their asses? Lagreca conveniently leaves out half the story because it makes Punk out to be a sympathetic Babyface.

I get why Seth wants to fight Punk. Why did Punk want to fight Seth? Punk has already said several times that Seth has nothing he wants. How did his attitude change in a week? Is it because Seth attacked him during their last face off? To me, Seth seems like a spotlight junkie. He'll latch on to a big attraction just to feel that energy. You don't believe me. He did it this past Mania. Yes he has history with Cody and Roman but he didn't need to be involved. Seth didn't have to team with Cody. There were other guys that could have been in that spot. I'll name a few... Randy, Kevin, Sami and Jey. Just when Seth doesn't have anything else he goes right back to picking a fight with Punk.

I'm on Punk's side, because if you were as mentally, physically, and emotionally burnt out, sick, and tired of working in the same place for 8 years and the last 3 years of your career have been just injuries to losing to part timers, to not given the respect to say hey, I'm giving you a call saying you can't do this or you can't do that, and how many IOUs Vince owes him, and the amount of shots people in the company and outside the company took at Punk to where he did the interview and the WWE sue him, causing him to be more mentally drained leading up to his career-ending UFC fight, I would not want to come back either. I would talk all this shit back to them because it's not fair for them to constantly take shots at Punk and Punk not being allowed to fire back because he's CM Punk and he's a fan favorite. And Punk already said to Seth I've moved on from Seth, you had the World Heavyweight title that I wanted, now you don't, so I could give a damn about anything you do or say, because you need me more than I need you, because without me, you're nothing more than the guy who helped Cody Rhodes become WWE champion, and you're not the champion anymore.

What Dave forgets is that Seth is a corporate machine…any and everything would be good enough for him, it doesn’t matter to him if the fans thought he deserved better. Punk resonates to the working class people, those who work hard, the first to be called upon to fix a problem, to help business boom, then you see someone come along who hasn’t done anything close to what you’ve been producing get the perks you felt you deserved only to be told to settle for something else….2013 he lost to The Rock, The undertaker, and Lesnar and had to help elevate 3 guys and make sure to make one of them look “strong” Seth never had these issues cause he always settled for less that’s why he clings to theme he comes out to

What point of view does Seth have? The problem with what Seth is saying about Punk leaving WWE is WWE back then was well known as being incredibly toxic. And even with Punks bitterness, he was treated unfairly for sure. Sure he should have been happy with the Taker match. But that was just a part of it. Maybe the nail in the coffin. But he was treated unfairly too. Especially during his staff infection. Why would Punk want to stay when treated unfairly? And thats the problem. Seth should be using another angle with this. Like leaving Seth to the vultures and had to climb from the wreckage. Instead hes mad at Punk for just leaving. It makes no sense

The reason is because Seth’s reasoning for hating Punk is Lame. Punk was mistreated and was against what Vince’s WWE stood for at the time. Punk held the Championship for 400 something odd days and didn’t get to Main Event WrestleMania. If Punk didn’t walk out WWE wouldn’t have started to make the changes it did putting the smaller guys on top like the Daniel Bryan’s and Seth Rollins. He was the voice of the voiceless and was fighting for the change we see today. They should’ve chose another angle for Seth to be mad at Punk about because if it weren’t for Punk there would be no Seth Rollins. Wasn’t it even Punk’s idea for the Shield behind the scenes? So I’m confused. Plus Seth is a goofy manchild who I can’t take serious up against the caliber of what CM punk brings. At least kill his goofy gimmick and dumb laugh and ridiculous clothes and entrance. With Drew it felt like two serious guys who hate each other. With Seth it feels like the little brother who whines and cry’s when big brother puts him in a headlock.
