Thank you! This performance was recorded in the concert hall of the Academy of Music in Lübeck (northern Germany).

I love hearing the audience reaction, I don't know where or when it was recorded but it really adds something to the film, I feel like I'm watching it in 1924!

Off all the Buster keaton movies i have seen so far this one really felt more entertaining, just because it had audience reacting to gags in between.
@beeleo7 жыл бұрын
Frank... you don't know where it was recorded??? The description says, "recording of a live performance on May 20th 2010, University of Music, Lübeck." So... ahh... 2010 and in Lübeck, Germany. It's nice that almost 100 years after this movie was made and halfway around the would, a great comedy still gets laughs and in all the right places.

Superb live recording of this gorgeous film. The music and musicians reached back into 1924 and today without ever imposing themselves on the story. Marvelous.

Talk about commitment... Buster Keaton actually performed the stunt where Gillette falls off the motorcycle himself because he claims, "I would never have someone do a stunt that I wouldn't do myself"

eben the part where he falls in the car from the roof was made by him :)

The soundtrack is a recording of a live performance, therefore the music and reactions of the audience were recorded in one track.

15:40 interesting fact: Buster Keaton actually broke his neck doing this stunt but didn't realize it, only getting bad headaches, until 10 years later when a doctor told him he had a healed fracture there.

Buster knows all when dreaming in astral projection in the projector room I love the story and the acting very meticulous. 'Look at this scene, you could have all this' in the sinking car with a sail. 'What should I do next...? How 'bout that? How does that happen?' Kids after a kiss hmmm. Lovely inside jokes

Sherlock Jr is shows Life scenes include love with reality in this film. It’s more than that about Humor and depth inside the body of the structure. For example, this“ film in fill” will be different rolling picture/ motion picture of the sense. It’s just as life though the frame changes with all technically Milpitas, dramatic, editing and shot. Then, Reality of the tossing and turning based on “cause and effect”, “space and time”. Out side the film theory. “Film in film” about girlfienn with his agreement always changing their dream and intention evoked storying to tension and relaxation.There is one clip always touching my mind as a Cliff of the edge of the screen…

There is no laugh track - this is a live recording (which includes of course the reaction of the audience)!
@BumdogTorres8 жыл бұрын
Ah...still think it takes away from the movie. They use that in Television but the actors are able to respond to the audience reaction, and it is written and directed to accommodate that reaction. Thats not the case with Keaton's films.
