Pump fakes work. Try a a curl route and then have another receiver running a go above him. Fake to the curl which brings down the safety and corner. Boom wide open receiver for a td. Works 70% of the time

In every sim Ive had big schools like bama Georgia & texas always end up unranked and out of the playoffs with anywhere from 4-5 losses at least 2 coming from low conference teams. Got so bad i started just force winning their “gimme games” even though i wasn’t using the teams but it broke the immersion so bad

Pump fake definitely works. I have used it many times against the ai for a clutch moment. They stop trying to sack me and look over their shoulder for just long enough for me to escape and pick up a 1st. I wish i could attach a clip i have where it made 3 look over their shoulder which allowed me to scramble up the sideline and hurdle over a dude for a tuddy

Pump fakes are best when throwing pump fakes to the routes you have been throwing to. It’s almost like it increases by 10% every time you complete a slant then throw the slant and watch the 3rd safety crash when you fake it. Post/bang 8 for the TD

the weird thing is, if you have say the 5th best team ( still likely 90+ depending on the state of your dynasty ), play ANY FCS team ( generally around 68 overall ), it’s about a 70% chance the better team wins. much bigger drop off, seems like they need to fix that.

AI absolutely will bite on pump fakes. Slot fade is a great example, pump fake the outside hitch and half the time the safety comes down and the fade will be wide open

Depending on the difficulty if you put it on freshman or whatever the easiest difficulty is they fall for the pump fix quite a bit. Sometimes when I want to have fun rebuilding a crappy school into a dynasty you got to lower the difficulty so that you actually have a shot to beat these ranked teams. Also it's a fun way to run your stats up if you want one of your guys to get a shot of the Heisman lol so yeah I noticed it's a difficulty issue first and foremost.

I'm starting to think that the team's overall rating tends to be _extremely_ attached to the QB. UCF went from an 85 to an 82 in RTG when my player character won the position battle having only upgraded from a 79 to an 81 (in Madden I am VERY dependent on the long ball, so I saved up 12 points for just the arm strength upgrade). Still beat Oregon with that team though.

The bigger issue for me is that the ai feels the need to go east n west as soon as there’s a defender anywhere near their pathing. Been playing mostly qb rtg so I’m not controlling the rb n it’s infuriating because at least in my big ten play with the badgers dynasty I did first they were more on the OP side. When I could control them, as long as the blocks were held on the edge the sweeps were deadly. If ur in rtg n relying on AI to run it well, don’t lol. The edge rushers still blow it up sometimes regardless. But rtg ai is fuckin retarded, even got coach callin 3 straight run plays with the other play options also being run plays n we lose 5 every time. Like coach this fuckin bum just ate actual shit 3 plays in a row, can I try to throw on 3rd n 36? Nah run it? Cool fuck a first down 😂

The sim logic is bad. In two separate rebuild dynasty's I have seen some wonky shit. 1. Wisconsin, a team in the high 80s had a 2 win season back to back. Mind you their overall was like 88, which puts them in the top 10 in the game solidly. Now I'm not saying they need to go undefeated or anything but 2 wins from a team that good is absurd. 2. In my current, Ohio state in 2027 is unranked with a team that's 90 overall. The kicker is bama is also 90 overall and also unranked, and currently sitting at 0-2. That shouldn't even be remotely possible because they have 3-4 5 star recruits+ per season and about 20 4*s.
