Best gynecologist ever. Dr Kiran delivered my baby girl in April 1991 at Holy Family hospital. I remember her as a fabulous doctor. She used to have prenatal courses with lectures and exercise and my husband was allowed into the delivery room. This was very rare in those days.

Thank you Faye for the very informative interview with Dr. Kiran Coelho. Learnt a lot by just watching and listening to her. She was the doctor who performed my hysterectomy at Lilavati hospital. We have children who are young adults and this interview gave us some insight into the various health issues our kids face in today's world.

This is gold. With so much ease Dr Kiran eloquently explained health niches specific to women. This talk is relevant and relatable to every woman regardless of age and race.

The whole interaction was such a mirror to the society as well. So many medical procedures and practices are done to women or done by women just to please the society/husband..

Good informative session. Wish Dr Coelho could throw more light on HRT during perimenopause/ Menopause. Docs hardly study about it during their college years and themselves need to educate on this issue. In Western countries so much information and help is now being given to peri/ menopausal women but sadly in India we are just told to suffer in silence.

It would be lovely to have some insights on the environment crisis we are dealing today. In NE India, lands are being cleared left, right, centre in the name of development. And there are so many pressing issues that we need awareness about and we need to address. It's already late but uummm..better late than never.

Hi Faye, could bring guests from urban municipal corporations/ urban municipal commissioners / collectors-IAS officers / experts who can throw light on what can be done to improve liviability in cities and so called "smart cities" My hometown is a smart city with hardly any smartness seen in the way open drains are handled, or foot paths are not even a common feature across all main areas. And I live in Bangalore currently where the flooding, traffice, water issues are hitting hard on face. Really want to understand how can a voting citizen make systems responsible for their living room environment better

When this Dr. was young and working, she could not afford child care 😢? Its still hard to digest she took her young daughter in OT. All professions and jobs are demanding and having kids should be a personal choice. And if you do have kids then that should be your number one priority. It doesn't matter who you are!

Faye, this was so disappointing as far as the doctor's attitude towards menopause goes. For someone who is all for oral contraceptive pills, it is appalling that she has nothing to say about HRT. Even vaginal estrogen is being mentioned more as a means to satisfy the men. This is doing such a disservice to women in midlife. But then, gynecologists in India have been failing menopausal women forever. Please invite a menopause specialist because an average woman needs to know that so much health decimation happens in post menopause and HRT should become a mainstream option.

Superb Engrossing A must watch interview I wanted to pause and pick it up later It was as if I couldn’t put my pen down till I watched the entire interview Of course I do not agree with Dr Kiran when she says women must take a break for their children What if the right man doesn’t come along or the situation doesn’t deserve it When a home needs two incomes then obviously women will demand more participation from their husbands Is that why many girls don’t want to get married Happily single and emotionally and financially free? A very big Thank You to you Faye I never like to miss your interviews

Hi Faye! Thank you for this informative interview on women's health. Even girls/women who are experiencing these issues may not understand them completely. It brings out how change in lifestyle is impacting women's health. One thing though, the conversation refers to maids and prostitutes as separate from women population. For eg, now you have maids so you can do this.. what about their health?! Something to consider the next time.

Nice and informative video. I don't agree with a lot of things said though. She wants to work until she drops dead but advising other women not to be ambitious because men dont share the load. I don't think that is good advice. The onus should not be on the woman to not be ambitious because the other half chooses not to contribute at home. Not having financial independence opens door to a lot of exploitation. I also disagree with acting all high and mighty because of not performing abortions. Giving birth to a child and traumatizing them for the whole life does no good either. This video was not intended for social commentary but there was a lot of it.
