i have a 17 yr old tortise-shell cat. she sits on the deck waiting for me to thin out invasive pest birds at the feeders so she can go work clean up. im at super close range w a pump rifle shooting bb's so i have to watch how hard i pump it up per shot, and location just incase it would bounce and come back which it has while trying to shoot between branches. I have houseplants in front of the kitchen window and there's a tiny flap of screen over a hole that can be hooked aside before i go fill the feeders when i get home from work and make dinner. and on the weekends, breakfast too. sparrows,starlings,and cowbirds. they come in groups. and end in loops......Great vid!!!!! Gotta love the power and accuracy in the little Prophet! My Preformance Compact also in .22 is just as accurate and has more than enough power to send the JSB Heavy on its way at maximum velocity. Might try the Monster RE some day but it is plenty powerful enough with the Heavys and hits anything out to at least 100meters. :-) The only thing missing on that gun is a cheek rest though, metal gets really cold in the winter. Perhaps I should make a couple in a similar design to the rest on Lelya/Matador and send one to Robert trying to convince RTI to start making them? ;-) Any ways, nice shooting as usual, no surprises there. :-) Stay safe Alex, looking forward to the next vid! I agree, mate. Slugs do have the qualities you listed. But the Prophet Performance .22 has a barrel designed for shooting pellets only :) I explained that in other videos of mine. And when I go for head shots, I prefer pellets, because slugs tend to pass through their heads and keep going afterwards while retaining a lot of the energy. @AirRifleActivities2 жыл бұрын
Hey, bud. Like I mentioned in the video, I use holdunder. That means I aim lower than the center of the crosshairs. That's to compensate for the steep angle at which I shoot. OK, Alex, I'm going to begin this comment without having watched the video yet because your opening comment surprised me.. ...Your concern about the issues you discussed reflected your commitment to well-produced videos. But, I think you're being a bit harsh on yourself. Why, you ask? Good question... With your creativity on past videos, [e.g. 'creative' opening scenes, different views on the surroundings, the 'tricks' with the graphics, AND your genteel, careful consideration to show the slightly more bloody seconds in B&W...], I didn't notice anything in the video as bothersome. I observed that you were trying out a new cam-mount-adapter whatchamadoodle on your rifle, but I commented that I appreciated the effort, because I naturally believed you were doing it to hopefully improve your filming somehow. Ya don't know if ya don't try, right? So if it wasn't a total success, well,...remember -- "I never lose...I either win, or I learn." OK, lights down, roll tape!!.... Well, another great vid, excellent shooting. Head or neck, it's still, as you mentioned a quick and humane dispatch, so NP!! Thanks for sharing another vid! PS That package of mine that was being held by that one 'department'? They notified me LAST WEEK that it had been declared "abandoned" after 45 days. So the past 9 months of emails and phone calls and NEVER BEING TOLD, was to no avail. It's 'gone' and all I got was the bill. 😪 So seeing your vids and your great gear helps cheer me up! Cheers!!

All you said - It's really nice of you, David 🙂 Yes, I an getting a little pedantic sometimes but I think that's the way to go. Let me say it's great that you don't mind the mistake I make along the way. The new camera mount thingy is not so bad IMO, it had nothing to do with my video being restricted and me making mistakes in the video editing, so I'll keep using it from time to time. And, man, sincerely sorry to hear about what happened with your gun at the customs... Does that mean there's no way for you to get it anymore?

@@AirRifleActivities Yeah, someone at the customs office no doubt either walked home with it or sold it to someone. Gone.

Had to add this...got an email & photo from Customs a few days ago, showing the package I ordered, they've had it since JUNE 2021 !! I'd sent a letter detailing ALL of this crazy story by CERTIFIED mail to the HEAD of customs BGK that my package had been stolen. I guess HE got involved, (and bit the wench on the ass), hence the photo and update as to it's status. I chided them about their abysmal communications, and just to mess with them, told them that the photo was a .pdf and had no date, it could have been taken months ago didn't prove anything, etc etc. So, remembering a few movies I've seen about kidnappings etc, I asked them to put a 'fresh' newspaper on the package and take another picture, showing the date, and send it to me, JUST TO MESS WITH THEM.......AND THEY DID IT!!! LOL!! So it's still there. I' m hatching all kinds of ideas about who to speak to to try and intercede for me.... I'll keep you posted! ... smh ... [You wouldn't know anybody who knows anybody who knows anybody at the ****ian Embassy, wouldja? ] ☮

@@davidschmidt6013 I'm glad your package is still there 🙂 Loved the "proof of life" trick you used 🤣 And about the embassy, no, I don't know anyone at any embassy, sorry I can't be of assistance... But reading your comment carefully, if every asterisk you used stands for a single letter, apparently you think I'm Russian 🤣 I'm not.

Why you switched to a 21 version version of Premiere ? It is a Win or Mac version ?
@AirRifleActivities2 жыл бұрын
It's a Windows version, Ron 🙂 Just thought it's time to see if there's a considerable improvement in the latest versions, plus some of the more recent video assets out there require newer versions.

Hiya bud another good video quick question are you going to be affected by this stupid lead ban on pellets that has been proposed and have you tried any of the lead free pellets at all?
@AirRifleActivities2 жыл бұрын
Hey, Alex 🙂 I don't know yet if I'll be affected. Yes, I have tried those lead frees, there's a video on my channel, I posted it 2 or 3 months ago, you won't like the results, but I think you'll enjoy the video. It tells the story.

@AirRifleActivities2 жыл бұрын
Never shot raccoons, mate, I'm in Europe. Perhaps you mistake me for someone. The birds poop all over the place and it's grain the store there. Plus they carry salmonella and psittacosis, that's why the owners want them gone.
