The "ghost guy" in metro city is jumping and waving at the small island off in the distance that you can access via a painting from one of the desert levels iirc. If you go to that island, you can look over and see him waving at you. He's meant to be seen from a distance. Nothing at all weird about his animation - he's there to give the hint that there is something off in the distance in the direction he's waving.

@@GamingBacon5525 I was reading BEN Drowned, watched a bit of SM64 Classified and I decided to mix those and that’s how Burnt Luigi came to be. I also gathered some inspiration from I Hate You as well but I did show Slimebeast the story, he approved of the story even if I copied it a bit. So yeah, that’s it lol, I just wanted to make a BEN Drowned-inspired creepypasta/arg but with Mario. I also decided to build up on the L is Real 2401 legend too hence the similarities.

Another possible idea for the 100 coins = extra life thing is that whenever you get 100 coins, they are spent on a 1-up mushroom. This also explains why the coin counter returns to zero after 100 coins are collected rather than continuing past the limit

the boo turning around is because the radius for it to move away and look away are both separate radiuses and they accidently made them both different sizes.

Fun fact about Mario kart DS: in the Luigi's mansion track, at the stairs to enter not only you can crash the game but you can also clip through the out of bounds part where your not meant to be and fsr you will clip to the bottom part of the mansion and the lap will still count! And you need a mushroom to pull this off. And speaking of Mario kart DS ultra shortcuts, on waluigi pinball after that big ramp, you can do a frame-perfect jump on the first frame you hit the ground, this can TRIPLE your default jump hight and if you do this at a specific angle after the big ramp section, and use a mushroom, you should clip through the stage still hitting all of the key checkpoints and then hitting the pinball part of the map and the lap will still count!

As far as the hallway Boo goes, I imagine that you're just getting close enough to the Boo on the other side of the wall to activate it. First time when it was turned around is probably because you get close enough for it to react, but not run. So it's facing where it thinks you are. Second, you get close enough to activate it to run, and it goes through the wall like it probably normally does, hence hearing the laugh.

The big ghost turns around as within an area of mario being there, and ALSO sight within that range cause him to turn around and go in that direction. The direction only happens if you look at him, but if you go to that wall, you ONLY trigger the turn around, not the go back, too.

You've said in your "soul coin" theory that it doesn't make sense for "souls" to come from blocks, but in this video you have stated that dead toads souls are lying around waiting to be picked up (in the form of coins), and in a previous video you stated that toads were converted into blocks - so it would make sense that their soul is still trapped inside.
