When giving takeoff clearance you can say “(callsign) runway(runway no. eg 27L) cleared for takeoff upon reaching altitude (altitude of choice eg. 1000) contact departure” it means you don’t have to make them contact departure after takeoff as it was in the takeoff command allowing you to focus on ground and arrivals more

@@Zayne_Williams thanks! I’ve tried this in the past and I’ve had a few issues with it processing the wrong command so I don’t use it much now especially on the busier airports. Will give it another go in the future

Why does the rectangle representing the planes (tags) turn red for all arrivals throughout gameplay as it wasn't red at the start, it happens to me and its annoying

From my understanding the tags will show the runway and highlight red until you give them landing clearance. Once you give the cleared to land it will go green then when they’ve landed and you give them taxi to terminal the runway and colour will be removed from the tag.
