I understand so deeply. But sister if we love Jesus we must extend forgiveness to our spouse or ex spouse. We can't do it on our own but Christ can help us as we lay it down in surrender. 🙏❤️

I listen to this, I have been holding grudges of what my husband did. I would remind him of the hurt and pain he did. what surprised me I was preaching that I forgave him, neither did I know I didn't forgive him. now my husband left home because of the woman I became (angry, bitter with everything he does and say).what of me is to trust God s will about my marriage. I really want to surrender the pain and hurt to God.😔

To late!! My husband filed for divorce 3 weeks ago. That’s okay because I spent 21 years being abused. What bothers me is 1) he’s unsaved 2) now he has shamed me because there is/was no infidelity. He’s just tired of me I guess. We are both senior citizens & I’m just trusting God. Let His will be done & God be glorified. My neighbor who holds “survivor” classes told me it’s not him I hate, it’s what he is personality wise. Praise God, I hope she’s right because right now (may God forgive me) I feel very vindictive.

Alcoholism and verbal abuse. Forgiveness is for me first, so my relationship with God isn't broken. However, setting boundaries against abuse is biblical.

What is it, "mistakes" or "sins"? Usually a Partner leaves because of sins and not for mistakes. Be honest with yourself: a sin is always a mistake, but not every mistake is a sin. Be honest, don't use mistake as a euphemism for sin. God forgives our sins, but he can't forgive our euphemisms or excuses. Partners will often forgive sins confessed with humility and willingness to change. I've never met anyone who forgives excuses. Be blessed.
