As a musically inclined and experienced performer in the world of music and theatre I can certainly tell you that he was never nervous this entire song. What he was going was call a build up. With this kind of song it’s good that he started a little subtle and as the song progressed he gave more emotions and ended the song with a bang. This my friends is pure talent given straight from The Most High.

Amen to that. Did you know he was in the hospital for diabetes just hours before singing this. Tom was on AGT too. He did two songs from it SOUND OF SILENCE and CREEP longer in other videos. The first one shows people taken from the rubble, the homeles, and tired doctors. With the song Creep it depicted a school girl going to school. It had a happy ending. Also there is a video with Noodles a grey puppet cat and after a few bars Tom walks out to finish the song. Wish it were longer. He is bringing out an album, yah!!!. The first single is this very song. I like it better when singers build up. There is a Brazilian singer who was on a contest Shadow Brasil a couple of years older than Tom called Gabriel Henrique. You might like his rendition of OH HAPPY DAY. He does songs from singers like Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion because he can do D8s. Guy has his own channel too and now Tom does too. You guys are mistaking Tom's quiet, soft intros to his songs as nerves, but as the gal just said here, us ladies know exactly what he's doing (& the gal biting her lips in the audience is Tom's now wife). This is an old song by Tom Jones from the 70's, & maybe you haven't heard Tom's version of Radiohead's "Creep" yet? Any song Tom sings is going to become forever changed & improved & instantly AWESOME!!!

LoL...I could not wait for that last part, and did not take my eyes off your faces...Priceless! So here is my take...I did notice a difference when he came to AGT, it felt more so, so to speak. But for me, what makes him so good, is that it feels as if he woo's the audience by starting slower and building to that climax. I think that is what is driving us women crazy! Yup!!!!! Anyway, thanks so much for doing this. I was someplace place else and jumped over when I saw you guys did this review. I cant remember that 80's song....but now that you just heard that last note of the song, I am sure you can figure out what else he can do. The thing here though, is exactly what he is doing. Heck, Ive been through the 60's on up, and stayed current with the music at 72, and even became more eclectic with what I listen to and appreciate. I think that is why he absolutely grabbed my attention! Thank You guys...and Many Blessings to you... the day before St Patricks day!💚🍀
