Yes. There is an order to the chips. - hedge - pond - haze - black ant This is not a solid order. You can get any at anytime but its more a hey these early ones are easier. Just know you will need/want to return to labs later on... The black ant and haze are the hardest of the early game (lower yard) labs. You also discovered an ant queen. Every anthill has one. Perhaps they can be interacted with in peace or war... Please read the bratburst description!

Usually what I do with stink bugs when I start a new game is you can lure them to the red ant hill one at a time and bait the soldier ants to start attacking it. Once they kill the stink bug then you can loot it as well as all the ants it will kill. Easiest way to get the parts early on. Once you get the red ant armor from all the parts you don't even have to worry about the soldier ants attacking you if you do it a few more times. Plus all the dead ants will cause more eggs to spawn.

Break the spider egg sacks for extra bug parts (Usually how I get my first ladybug head). Build a weevil trap for shield material, 4 corner-clover roofs and 4 angled clover roofs with white mushroom dropped in the middle of the square made of roofs. need a spinner or 5, place liquid storage containers under the juice straw drips to collect them long term.

A couple of tips: you will forever need all the mite fuzz you can get your hands on. grubs can be found anywhere near water and in high number around the oak and you need a lot of their bits. dew drops are found on grass in the morning and the evenings. dew collector and canteen are indeed your best friends.

Regarding the superchips you can do them in any order as long as you have the right gear to get them. In fact you can find other superchips even before hedge lab. But there is intended order, if you look at the map superchips there are numbered.

I know your probably not going to see this and or have already figured this out, but I haven’t seen anyone mention this but there are two different types of weapon/armour level/tiers. In a previous video you leveled up an axe to level 1 with the smithing station, this station will only increase damage and durability(weapons) or defence and durability (armour), what you want is tier 2 tools. When looking at any weapon or armour in the game you will see a little symbol? That shows either I, II or III, these are tiers you will need to kill lots of different bugs to craft these but a good idea would be to look in the crafting menu at the weapons tab, there should be some items with a red/orange icon with the number II these are your tier 2 items

You've inspired me to do another grounded play through, i built in the same can as you and just a little tip. if you take out all the stuff from the can temporarily, you can build actual structures inside the can allowing you to have a lot more room inside. you can fit the dew collector even on a platform in the back. make sure you scan everything at the little outposts, even the weed stems and grass planks.

If you cut the "stumps" that grass and dandelions leave you get another 3-4 plant fibers and they can regrow when you sleep, also sleeping causes the resources to respawn so let tiny butch have his tiny naps. The pond is the next lab in the chain (sorry) The little numbers at side of your tools / weapons when you look at them in the crafting menu indicate their tier (ant clubs tier 2 I believe)

I just wanted to give you Some tips, de recipe for the bratburst is a bomb you can you use to crack the rocks open, and also I just wanted to warm you cause the haze lab jas a boss in it that you Will have to defeat and the black ant lab aswell but the black Hill boss is lot stronger then the haze so you really need to prepare for that before you go ahead and try it, and also I have another tip you should defenetly try to kill a ladybug for ladybug armor, iets really strong armor and should be good enough to fight a lot of things.

My, quite the dedicated effort to beeline past every hazard to the objectives, the RPG hero rushing into the dark lord's castle with his starting equipment. I'd say it's a game of exploration and discovery. If you find a new critter or resource, you collect it, it'll lead to better equipment and more tools, which you use to take out more blockages and critters. Just exploring, to find new resources, and taking the labs on as you expand your radius would be my suggestion. Also, a little puzzled why it didn't seem to immediately click who the single, giant ant in the centre of the ant nest is

Here are some tips from a veteran player. Tip#1 learn how to perfect parry you will know you did it right as you won't take any damage or lose any stamina. Tip#2 Use the PEEPR function by pressing the button set for PEEPR (it might be x if you didn't touch the controls) when you peep a creature you will see what weapon/candy type does more or less damage to them. Tip#3 setup small bases near the Oak Tree, the Haze, the Sandbox, and the Picnic Table. As these places you will travel to very often to collect the resources found there. Tip#4 Use the first 3 Mutation slots (Tabs labeled A B and C) as your mutations for weapons you like to use. Setup D or E Mutation slots as mutations that make stuff easier chop and smash and you can carry more. Then set the other slot as your mobility Mutations for instance Buff Lungs, Natural Explorer, and Dare Devil.

A good rule of thumb in video games, if you have to run past the enemies to get someplace without dying, you're most likely not supposed to be there yet. It does feel like you're trying to rush through the story too hard. For reference, the xbox store lists the main story as being about 27 hours to complete with a completionist run of the game taking about 92 hours.

I recommend practicing parrying and getting better gear. Each enemy has there own attack patterns and if you block just before their attack you can avoid taking any damage. The Orb Weaver is actually the enemy I was recommend for practicing parrying. The orb weaver may look scary but they're pretty easy once you learn how to parry they're attacks. For armour I'd recommend getting ladybug armour. You will have to kill ladybugs to get the ladybug shells. They're relatively easy to kill and the armour is worth it. For the weapon I recommend the red ant club as it has high damage and a chance to stun the enemies. Its honestly too good for an early game weapon. You can craft higher tier tools to break tougher structures you can't normally break with tier 1 tools. The tier 2 weapons require you to kill tier 2 bugs like Bombardier beetles, stinkbugs and spiders.

I'll give you some tips on the bugs you encountered. First: don't forget to peep the bugs you encounter. It contains information on their weakness and resistances Regarding ants: the workers are neutral and only attack when you attack them or other ants. Soldier ants are always hostile to you and are much tougher then workers. I would recommend ignoring them and running when possible or stand your ground if you feel like you can take them. Ant queens are hidden deep in the ant colonys (you have encountered the black ant queen in the black ant lab). Unlike the workers and the soldiers, the ant queens are completely harmless and are more of an interactive event then anything. You have 3 choices with the ant queens, you can either befriend them, kill them or infect them by feeding them their favourite foods. I won't spoil what these options do (the only queen that can be infect currently is the red ant queen).

ok, just in case, some free spoiler advice: -Dont bomb the big thick boy ant, i dont even know if you can actually do that in the first place, but in case you can, dont do it, there are "other" ways around that ant -answering the question you made, i think there IS supposed to be an order on the chips but technically you can do them in any order you want proven that you have the required tools (like the bombs or the gas mask), i always do them in this order: 1-hedge (obligatory), 2-pond, 3- haze, 4-black ant hill, 4.5-extra memory chips Hope to see where this blind adventure takes you, oh also great base, i think it looks quite nice actually, excited to see more parts of this :D

Your best next chip is in the red ant mound, get full red ant armor and you can walk right in its roughly the middle of the yard, south west of the oak tree, great place to farm bug parts to as the soldiers kill everything Next lab, your not gonna like, I'd to the pod lab, but you can do any really your just not geared for any yet. but the pond gear is easiest everything else your gonna need to kill more bugs. Scan everything all the time always.

You can turn the Haze off at the cost of making the enemies in the world spawn with harder infected versions, worth it if it means you can actually see what your fighting IMO. you'll need gum bits which needs a tier 2 shovel. Basically you need to go on a bug genocide and collect parts to research for better gear. Even if you make it to another lab now you wont like how it turns out without better gear. The difficulty ramps up pretty quick.

First, why would you ever sleep? Only sleep if you have a petal bed or you need a cutscene. It’s just wasting time otherwise. Just progress in the game and soon enough you’ll have a whole ton of cooked meals stocked up so you’ll never get hungry.
