The reset is similar to my decision about 20 yrs ago that I DON'T HAVE BAD DAYS. Yes, a decision. I have BAD moments, bad conversations, bad hours, even. But I refuse to give an entire day to the "bad". Make sense? Idk, it works for me. 🙃

One thing that really helps me a lot is a quote “done is better than perfect”. It’s not a habit but it has led to a lots of positive changes in my life and I’m not crippled with the inertia of not doing something because I feel like I can’t do it perfectly.

I’ve adopted the 2 minute rule for everything. If it takes me 2 minutes to do, I just do it when I see it. “I really need to clean the sink in the bathroom” so I just do it. I weave things into the 5-10 minute pockets of my day so I’m staying on top of things without overwhelming myself.

I love your “refresh” idea. I do something similar which I call “PTF”. Sometimes I will remember some incident in my past when I said or did something cringeworthy . I will start to worry or obsess about this incident, wishing for a do-over. I then say “ PTF”, which means “permission to forget.” It helps me break the worrisome thought cycle. It can also mean “permission to forgive”, too!

Having a clean kitchen in the morning is definitely a game changer. A refresh is something I started doing awhile back-I like the quote "If you change the way you look at things, things you look at will change." So I apply that to bad days...I change my thoughts to positive, and it's amazing how it does help. Love your videos.

Sometime when I need a reset in the middle of the day I take a shower and make myself a cup of coffee. I feel like the shower washes away the bad part of the day. It gives me sometime to myself, to relax. And the coffee gives me energy to get going again.

I actually adopted the clean kitchen habit from you! In addition to that, I've learned myself to never wait for an appliance in the kitchen. For example if I use the microwave or the kettle, I don't stand around and wait, but I use those 2 or 3 minutes to clean up the kitchen or living room. Since I use these appliances multiple times a day, I almost always have a tidy kitchen and living room

I've just started my organizing/declutter journey. My first apartment... No storage except from one small sink cabinet in the bathroom, one cabinet under the sink in the kitchen, one cabinet over the sink and a closet. I bought a cheap hutch from Amazon with a drawer (I had none but needed one for silverware) and table from Walmart with built in storage and lots of small bins and caddies to help organize. Still waiting on my bookcase and next to stove (fire proof) dresser to put some clutter in and purge the rest. And starting the never leave a dirty sink and waiting for caffeine has made a huge difference in my mood and energy levels

I am 60 years old. I learned something valuable from this video. Thank you 😊 My doctor also said that drinking to much water flushes the system out. He never mentioned salt in the water. I will try it. My aunt drank water with vinegar. I tried it. Not to bad. One thing I do when I build up to much anger or frustration, I write the most hateful letter explaining why I am angry. I write things that if I were to say them aloud, would be terrible. By the time I get finished writing this hate filled letter, I feel better. I burn the letter. No angry, hurtful words are spoken. But, as you called it, I did a brain dump. Thank you for sharing your experiences.

I meditate every morning, and until recently, I did yoga too. My grown son is living here with psychiatric and neurological illnesses from mold at his father’s house. This situation seems to have changed my entire schedule, because he has appointments, and so do I. I’m trying hard to make accommodations in this smaller 1950’s house I moved into 2 years ago, after having a gorgeous condo that was big, but had hidden mold and I got sicker than I was from my breast implants. It’s been a real eye opener fir the last 15 years, and I don’t know what I would do if I hadn’t started meditating many years ago! I smudge my house, too. It’s kind of like saying good night to your house and it will say good morning to you! I like that! ❤️💫

The life hack that helps me have a more peaceful morning is picking out my clothes (and even ironing them) the night before - no matter what - everything including accessories and shoes. Not having to think about this in the morning saves me stress and early on set decision fatigue the next day! I found before I did this, I would often change my outfit a few times each morning, but taking the time to do it the night before allows me to feel committed to it the next day and make little to no changes. Love this video! I started watching your channel when the pandemic began. I’m a teacher and a mom of a four year old and I always find your videos, hacks and insights incredibly helpful and relatable!

My habits: 1. Always leave a room more beautiful when you leave it than it was when you came in. 2. No phone, t. v. , computer for thirty minutes after waking. 3. When the weather is nice, I go outside first thing and pray, feel the earth, beneath me and thank God for the day. 4. Turn off all technology an wind down thirty minutes before going to sleep. When we consider the things we eat out, all the extra salt...did they wash the lettuce? Then there was a girl on a talk show recently, who went on a diet, bought many bags of lettuce to eat many salads , then got horrible cramps, which were the result of worms, from the bagged lettuce. I never use bagged lettuce, and when I have at my volunteer work, at the church, we washed it just because. I know the bag says pre-washed, but, maybe not? It makes me to feel safer to eat at home.

Not only "did they wash the lettuce", but did they wash their hands, were they careful not to cross contaminate, did they cough or sneeze on the food, etc. People can be gross and often are not careful handling other people's stuff. Not to mention the cheap, poor quality ingredients used in average restaurants compared to what you'd buy for your family, and the excessive cost compared to preparing it yourself. Eating out just makes no sense.

@@KatarinaS. I had lunch with a friend Friday, and I called the restaurant to ask if they washed their own lettuce, or used bagged. The answer was they used bagged. So, I decided not to get a salad. I ordered a burger minus the bun, with all the trimmings. I looked at the pathetic pile of lettuce on the plate. YUCK, I thought. I went to the front counter, asked for a bowl, took it to our table, dumped the lettuce into the bowl, and poured my water in it, and swished it good, then poured the water out, and dried the lettuce on an extra napkin. My friend didn't blink , as she knows I am a finatic, about my kitchen, and clean food. She and her family have been to dinner parties at our home. It is harder to eat out, even when it is more convenient due to our schedules. Home is definitely safer. As for cleaning veggies, I add a splash of hydrogen peroxide to fresh berries , and things with crevices. I read it is a good alternative to soap, but I still use dawn for some things, like oranges and melons, which I brush with a veggie brush, and suds. When rinsing cantaloupes, the water shows the hidden gunk LOL.

I do it every single night and when I get up in the morning (I’m always the first one up because I go for a run and want to be back before the kids get up), I literally smile. I smile as soon as I see the kitchen, living room and play room tidy and reset. All completely ready for the new day. Game changer.

I heard a saying that I’ve been repeating to myself multiple times a day and I find it so helpful . I don’t remember where I read it or even the second half of the statement verbatim so I’ll substitute my own words in the second half . “Be kind to your future self “ and get this done ! The last 4 words are my own. This saying reminds me of yours above ! “ Be kind to your future self .....” made such an impact on me and it encourages me to do things big and small!

lots of habits we never learned growing up, habits that changed my life: go to bed with clean sink and getting dressed to shoes (from the fly lady), keep unfolded clean laundry in a basket until ready to fold - eliminates piles on the bed or on the furniture and keeps it clean and leave for a trip or vacation with a clean house/empty trash (from my husband), and above all - waking up before the kids - it's the equivalent of waking up early. Love your videos Kallie! They give me motivation!

I have a tip. On Saturday night,I pull out 6 pairs of clothes,iron them and hang them up. One pair for each day of the following work week. It saves me time , saves me opening my cupboard and wondering what to wear in the mornings before I start to get ready. If there's a function/ party during the week,I get the extra party wear out too iron it and put it up on a hangar. Really releives me of dress stress!

You are so wise for one so young, relatively speaking (I'm old enough to be your mother). I learn so much by watching your videos. I will offer one cautionary comment. I went thru a period of time where I was compulsively making lists and scheduling myself in order to get my list completed. But the more I scheduled, the less I got done and I ended up feeling like a failure some days because I hardly touched my list. First, I learned to streamline my lists and scheduling. If you or your followers find yourselves putting too much time into setting up your days, you may want to question whether this has become a way to procrastinate. In my case, it was form over function. I liked having a nice schedule that accounted for how I would spend my time. It wasn't, however, necessary. I already knew the majority of what needed to be accomplished. I compromised by keeping a block of time available for those items that were out of the ordinary - needs that popped up during the week that weren't anticipated or part of my everyday life. I would only work on creating a mini schedule for that block of time each day. Instead of creating a new schedule each day, I essentially stuck to a routine that was consistent, either daily or weekly for the remainder of my time. Copy and paste are your friends, particularly when creating a schedule. Also, I realized there's only so much that can be done in any given day so I learned to set only one or two goals for myself each day and those are what I focused on. Of course, I frequently had time for more but if I didn't get to them, I didn't have that sense of failure. It became much easier to view each day as successful. Of course, with infants and toddlers, anything can change at a moment's notice. So having a lot of free time built into any day was a necessity for me when my kids were little. And if I was lucky and my kids were willing to play quietly, nap on schedule and be particularly easy, that would be time I could spend on less important projects.

I watch so many videos on people who use umpteen planners for this that and the other, decorate them with stickers and washi tape and fancy lettering... It takes so much time!! Just grab a pen and make a list ! My planners (two, one I carry with me and a more comprehensive stay-at-home version) are tools not art projects.

First thing I do in the morning is make my bed, brush my teeth, wash my face, Then go to the kitchen squeeze half a lemon in 8 oz of water. Drink that , then make a cup of coffee. I’m going to do what you recommended about waiting about an hour after you wake up for coffee !

This a great video. I fortunately was raised with some of these ideas from my Dad who had not only served in the Airforce but was raised by a super organized Mother and Father. The tip about the dishes and tidying up, we lived it. But also list making. I can't tell you in words how this has helped me especially having had 4 children and working plus even now that my children are all grown I still make lists like countdown to Christmas or any major holiday, birthdays and it really takes the overwhelming factor out. It absolutely helps with saving money be it groceries or holiday gift giving. Now that salt water I have heard of because it was practiced back before Powerade or Gatorade were the norm. But we didn't have access to Himalayan salt or Celtic salt here in the US till recent years. Now I'm really giving away my age 😉 But thank you for sharing, for many folk these are probably a game changer for sure. 💕

Yes! Making dinner in the afternoon, at least in part, has CHANGED so much. A 2 year-old and 5 month old here and it's almost impossible to have any energy or distraction-free time at 5. The point about the restart is also phenomenal. I get so down on myself for not handling my son's fits well but when I take a second to chat with God, decide to be better from that moment on and forgive myself, I can do it. I may mess up again 10 mins later but it still slows down the snowball.

One small change that helped me incredibly came from looking for solutions for health issues. Getting enough sleep had been a major problem for me & taken a heavy toll over decades. So I had the simple idea that each evening, to consider what time I needed to wake up the next day, then set my alarm to “head to bed” an hour before I had to be asleep - in order to be sure I got 8 full hours of sleep that night. This has helped me immensely and Ive formed a really good habit of paying attention to my body’s Sleep needs. Sometimes I can tell I need extra rest or maybe im late and have less time available that day- but I care and take the trouble to make up for it and pay better attention to my needs now. Its amazing just how much this simple act has improved my health. Adequate rest is major. Especially long term. Thanks Kallie for all you do. What an inspiring help you are. 👌🏼🔆

I try to watch you tube videos that are inspirational, motivational, or teach me something that will enhance my life or save me time. Of course I still watch entertaining ones now and again, but try to make those after I’ve been somewhat productive or when I’m meal prepping or doing some other task. Oh, and I quit Instagram altogether. I miss the inspiration I gained sometimes, but don’t miss the huge time suck and comparison game that it brought me.

For me, a habit I've had for a while now is keeping a gratitude journal. For me, just writing down one thing each day that I'm thankful for, even if it's just "I got through the day" on a really hard day, helps me keep a more positive mindset. My therapist wants me to do something similar that so far I'm struggling with though. She wants me to write three things that went well during the day each day. So far, I either forget to do it or can't think of three things that went well to me... But I'm not giving up! This is gonna be a good practice too once I'm used to it!

I have a friend that has kept a gratitude journal for years, has everyone add to it every night 3 things they are grateful for, wherever she may be. And I mean EVERYONE lol. I have seen entries when she has been camping and such that are up to 20 people! Her family and friends expect it now, and when they get together have things in mind to tell her 💖 Her son is fairly consistent with his truck, girlfriend, and bagel bites 😂 Can be as simple as I got to work and home safely. Didn't burn dinner. Took the stairs and not the elevator. Saw the sunrise. It doesn't always need to be deep and insightful, but when it is, write it down 😊 Hope this helps a little bit 💌

One thing that has really helped me is having a family calendar that everyone can see. Each person in the family has their own color of (erasable ink) pen. It helps us keep track of who needs to be where when. With busy kids who don't drive, it's a game changer for us!

Another south paw! ❤️ A mantra I have adopted is: “I am NOT a robot.” I only ever say it in my head, but I find myself saying it quite a bit.😏I tend to get anxiety if I don’t stick to the rules I previously made. Giving myself some leniency to be human increases my happiness. After all, we are still learning for the entirety of our lives (most of us). When I am sans angst, I can confidently produce well. Every day is unique and beautiful that way. I can follow my rules MOST often, because they are a part of my value system and they help me, not because I am slave to them.

I so agree. I wish I had all this info when I was a young mother. I have no doubt that it would have been an amazing help. I do practice many of the daily routines. I always pick up and put things away before bed and my kitchen is always cleaned and cleared before I sit down in front of the tv in the evening. It just makes me and my husband feel better every morning. Thanks for your time and energy put into your You Tube Chanel. I never miss a post.

For over a year now no matter how late I ccx want to stay up at night I go to bed at t ht the same time, because I get up super early every morning to exercise, drink coffee, start laundry, and have 'my' time. I'm a list maker. Some years ago I was facing an endless list to finish renovating a house. I was exhausted and burned out... I decided to write down how much time would get to have every task from the list. From minutes to hours. It helped me to unstuck. I have 10 minutes? I can have this done. I'm in a mood for a larger task, I'd get one of these... It worked very well!

Wow Kallie, thank you so much for mentioning adding salt into the water! I had the same experience and over-hydrated, washed out all the minerals out of my body, felt thirsty all the time as well, and urinated like 20+ a day! I took a hair tissue mineral test that showed I was very low on many key minerals like potassium and sodium! I now try adding salt to my water as well and am taking Shilajit for mineral support!

Oh, me too! I loved this tip, but often found myself grumpily doing something I really want to put off til tomorrow. This may be silly but I started hyping myself up while I'm doing it. 'Future me deserves a break tomorrow!' 'Current me, you're being so kind to future me!' And it is really helping the evening mood in my home, even my teenager is getting on board bcs we make it silly and fun.

I’ve added things here and there that make things easier. My boys are 2 years apart. Since they got old enough to wear the same size socks I started buying only one brand. Same style, same color. No more matching. I’ve always been a list maker but use to have lists and scraps of paper with things written on them everywhere. It was a huge game changer for me when I started keeping all paper in one composition book. If it wasn’t written there to begin with I just tape it in. I keep all things that I would need to take with me if we had to evacuate (think Hurricane) in a binder. Easy to grab and go. Everything else that I use to file in a million different folders in filing cabinets that were overflowing I now, for the most part, just put in a folder with the year written on the outside. Manuals go in a manual folder. Vehicle related stuff in a folder with that vehicles name on it. Something else that makes a difference is I do each person’s laundry individually. It saves so much time sorting.

When my children were 14, 13, 9, I started them all doing their own laundry as I was again pregnant. They chose a day a time to do their laundry according to their schedules and it was to be completed within that time period. Just two weeks later my daughter came to me thanking me for freeing her from having her clothes washed with her two brothers. The boys were also grateful to not have to help fold everyones clothes. It saved me so much time and my children learned how to do laundry. All their rooms were tidy and they felt proud of themselves and I never heard, “Mom, where’s my ball uniform,” or “where is my pink blouse?” Best thing I ever did for myself and them. 👏🥰

Putting away everything I use ( food, plates, etc) after I used it really help to keep the house tidy. I always tidy up and pick up the toys and everything we used during the day right before putting the kids to sleep. I don’t accumulate stuff that does not have a purpose in my home, so these habits really change your life. I agree to have a clean kitchen before going to bed is the best gift you can givr yourself for the next day.

I have changed small small habits in my life since 4 months. I am getting up early morning around 4am. So, from 4am to 6am it's me time. So, in this two hours I am meditating, reading my goal, reading books, learning new words, and giving half an hour to workout. This gives me a lot of pleasure and day by day I am being self confident. But I will say, I have to be more organized and prioritize my work . It will be over time.

I love all of the life hacks that you give. When I was young, I did many of these, but now, I'm retired and my young grandchildren live 3 states away. No reason to get up early anymore. I get just as much done even though I get up later because I have no distractions. Everything you mentioned here is true and should help younger people if they follow them. I don't know about the salt in the water, but it makes sense.

Over covid lockdown I started walking 3 miles fasted when I wake, I gave up caffeine all together, I increased my exercise by 50% I stopped eating processed foods (more difficult than it sounds) end the day before bed take another 3 mile walk I don't think I can go back to my old habits I wouldn't want to 🙏

We can't eat processed foods as my child is allergic to sugar. This means planning almost every meal because most foods have sugar in them. After doing this for several years it becomes easier but the first few months was very difficult.

That's wonderful. My daughter and I actually did something very similar, especially the twice daily walks. Also allowed myself to get a full night's sleep most nights (7-8 hours rather than 5-6 or less chronically), something that hasn't happened in 28 years since first becoming a parent. Preparing all our food from scratch and eating more vegetables. Organizing the house and going through the backlog of stuff that needed to get done and now trying to keep up with it instead of always playing catch-up. After over a year of these healthy habits I can't imagine going back to the overly stressed out hectic life I used to lead.

- Getting up earlier - Wait 1 hour after waking up before drinking caffeine, and have something to eat first - Eating at home instead of eating out - meal planning and prepping dinner early - Never go to bed with a dirty sink - Adding salt to my water - especially if you have very heavily filtered water with little to no electrolytes - Learn to hit the reset button on your day - acknowledge that you need a reset, start your reset with a mindset shift, and pair it with a concrete action that makes you feel good - Make lists for everything.

I read a book called “The Power” about visualizing what you want your life to be. It is short and sweet and a great reminder about how our minds have the ability to create joy and satisfaction. One thing that I loved was the idea of multiplying the joy. When you are having a great experience/moment/phase in life, stop and bask in it. Be thankful and enjoy it so your heart learns to do this as a habit. Also, this was my favorite of all your videos!😊

I’ve always been financially responsible and my house and car is paid for and I have no credit card debt. But there were things that I wanted and finally decided to just buy myself a treat once a month within a certain limit.

I’ve recently adopted the clean kitchen sink from the Fly Lady Routine and you’re right it’s so nice to have a sparkling kitchen in the morning! And the sodium tip my cardiologist recently told me to do this for my low blood pressure (upon waking; big drink of water followed by something salty) I found sodium tablets at the pharmacy and they’re much cheaper than buying electrolyte drinks!

Rachel Ray does this, too. On her show, she used a bowl that looked exactly like one that my mother had back in the fifties /sixties. Don't know when it was last used, but I think the dishwasher gave it a beating with the detergent.

Hi Kallie, if you haven’t done so already, I’d recommend you see a doctor to get a check-up if you are needing to add salt to your water to not feel thirsty and pee all the time. It’s probably nothing but there’s couple of things that I’d want to rule out (I’m a family physician, i.e. GP from Australia). All the best! And awesome video btw!

@@lisablomquist240 I had the same issue. My MD said to try drinking the water slower. I did and it's totally worked. I don't really like drinking water so I'd drink it really quickly. But now that I've slowed down it's helped. I also didn't drink water late at night so that I didn't get up to pee. Well, the MD said if I followed his advice it shouldn't happen. He's right. I finish my water around bedtime and I haven't woken up in the night.

@@lisablomquist240 some of the symptoms she describes, like increased thirst & frequent urination can be signs of diabetes, or even pre-diabetes. Many people have pre-diabetes, but are completely unaware they are headed toward full-blown diabetes. Doctors won't declare a patient to be diabetic until certain serum blood markers reach the tipping point in lab tests. - when A1C levels are above 5.7 (5.7 is considered 'normal', but I would not be happy with a 5.7 A1C marker, bc this 'normal' baseline is compared to the rest of the U.S population and that's not exactly a demography I'd like my A1C level to be compated to as a 'normal' range - let's say 5.7 is considered 'normal' in the U. S., but 5.7 is, IMO, not exactly 'optimal') - Anyhow, let's say an individual is climbing toward an A1C range of over 5.7, but is below 6.5- this is considered pre-diabetes in the U.S. An A1C range of 5.7 -6.4 is considered pre-diabetes. It's not considered a 'disease' state because it's not 'diabetes', per se (yet). But a 6.5 or above A1C level is considered to be type II diabetes. Unfortunately, the pre-diabetic condition can be building up to that tipping point of a 6.5 A1C level for years due to undetected metabolic changes in the body, and this is the state known as 'pre-diabetic.' The issue is that cells (fat cells primarily) are becoming more and more insulin resistant, and glucose cannot enter these cells. This is why diabetes & pre-diabetes is accompanied by fatigue, because glucose cannot enter fat cells where it's needed for energy.. Insulin is rising & is trying to drive glucose into the cells where it is needed for energy, but because the cells have become insulin resistant, the glucose has nowhere to go. As a result, glucose builds up in the blood. The body then tries to rid the blood of excess glucose, which results in the symptom of frequent urination, i.e., the body struggling to expell excess serum glucose. I think the added salt in the water might suppress frequent urination bc sodium helps cells to retain water. Possibly that's why the frequent urination & thirst has been abated(?) with salt being added to the drinking water? Idk...that part is just a guess on my part, so take it with a grain of salt 😄 But the prediabetes/diabetes & A1C ranges I quoted are fact.

Good video. My son and I started waking up real early to take the dogs out to the park for a walk and I began to notice that there was so much more time to the day. We would take a day and do a lot of things, then say I wonder what time it is? Then look at the clock and noticed it was still early in the day. Gave us a fresh start and a new outlook on things, it was an amazing experience.

I always put out the clothes I’m going to wear the next day before I go to bed. When I wake up in the morning, the first thing I do is make my bed. Both of these little changes have really helped me over the years. I also do meal planning and prep on Sundays and Wednesdays, so that I have all the food I will need for the week. It helps to keep extra time to myself for self care.

In regards to the water thing, I’ve also read that it’s important to sip water throughout the day instead of drinking large amounts in a short period of time. And when they say “drink water”, you also have to account for foods containing water, juice, and things like tea and coffee. Fresh fruit, veggies, soups and jello count as fluid intake.

When my daughter was little, my husband and I called 5:00 - 6:00 the “Witching Hour”! Without fail, every single freakin’ day was filled with whining and crying and tantrums and sleepiness and ….. well you get it - because you’re living it! But the Witching Hour does eventually go away and believe it or not, you will miss that time with your babies because they’ll be driving, with friends, going off to college - and some days it’s so quiet at my house at 5:00 I miss the chaos. ~Linda❤️

My 7 month old had a teething moment, gave him a little Tylenol (nothing else was working), and he fell asleep on me, head on my chest. I knew I had to put him to bed, but he hasn't done that in SUCH a long time, I just had to savor it a little longer before putting him down. He's already moving on from things, and I hate it. One habit I adopted is to remove all distractions from the bedroom. Basically no books, tv, phone, or tablet/computer, I don't even have a clock in my room. For an alarm I use the silent vibrating alarm on my Fitbit which works really well. This means I no longer stay awake late into the night scrolling social media or reading. All activity related to the computer or books is done in the living area, it means I get more and better quality sleep.

These tips are pretty much the same things I've come to realise and implement in my own life. You have to make a conscious effort to retrain your brain, change habits and literally change the neural pathways in your brain, making new connections that redirect old thought patterns into new ones. Repetition eventually makes these new habits second nature and a breeze. It takes WORK! Even so, it's absolutely worth it. Especially when you catch yourself unconsciously carrying out said new, healthy habits. I think these small things, when added up contribute to our overall happiness and sense of wellbeing in life. Thank you for such an informative video, everyone needs to start doing these things as they help so much!

Waking up early is definitely a life changer, but I am not consistent with it, because I am a caregiver to my husband, who is c5/c6 quadriplegic, and right now he’s having some health issues. But I do notice the difference when I do or can, I feel so much more accomplished throughout the day. Thanks for sharing

I work outside the home, so I have things that I do the night before to help get me out the door. (Oh, that rhymed!) I have my coffee pot ready, the cat food is ready (packet of food, plate and fork), I've assembled my lunch for the next day, I've readied what I'll need for work, and I know what I'm going to wear. On the weekend, I will meal prep, but I also prep vitamins and medications, which save sooo much time! One thing I do NOT do is get up early. After reading the book "Why We Sleep" and learning that we have different circadian rhythms, I realized that my body has been telling me for years that I am a late to bed-late to rise person, and in setting my alarm clock an hour later I have been getting more and better sleep and have the energy I have been lacking. Sleep is vital to cognitive functions and the lack or less than what one needs can be terrible for long term health. Anyway, the rest sounds great. Thanks.

What a great reminder of the little things we can do to make big changes. Early, quiet time journalling, planning and connecting with my values has been huge. No coffee though? That’s a tough one.

“Never go to bed with a dirty sink” is a habit that I definitely need to adopt! I often feel so overwhelmed with the mess that I throw my hands up and say “screw it”, and nothing gets done! Thank you for these tips!

I have found that adding ice to my water keeps my water intake to 64-70 ounces. Also cutting down on coffee intake has helped. I work graveyard shift but try to keep coffee at 2 cups per day.

This actually WAS groundbreaking for me! Thank you so much! Honestly every one of those tips were excellent and I'm planning on implementing them myself! Weird question....do you ever feel like the work load between you and your husband makes you cranky and resentful? This may not be the forum but I'd love to hear your thoughts on how you handle the mental part of having so much in comparison to husbands. I'm a FT sped teacher, mom of 3 kids and 2 guinea pigs (lol) and my husband is FT sped teacher too but the balance always frustrates me as I'm the one who literally does it all. Anyway, probably not the forum. But thank you for all these great tips they will truly help so much!!😊💗

As a dancer, my daughter would flush all the electrolytes out of her body by drinking plain water. Celtic salt in her water was a literal life saver for her!

Love your "reset" tip! I had an additional idea for an action step that might be helpful for some people, and that is to have a quick shower, the idea of washing away my troubles and anxieties to get a fresh start had really helped me when I feel like I need to reset! Thought it might be worth mentioning. Thank you for sharing your ideas, I will definitely be looking into adding salt to my water because, you basically just explained the same issue that I'm having with hydration to a T! Your videos have been super helpful, so thank you soon much ❤ 😀

Using a timer to clean or do a task has really helped me. We also have a two year old and our second was born in January, Trying to wake up before them is something I’m trying to do better at.

A small habit that changed my life is setting up two outfit choices for the next day one is for work and the other is for an appointment. The other thing I do is go over what the next day so it's all fresh in my mind.

I thought that cleaning the sink/kitchen at night was bs but honestly, it's life changing in terms of morning mindset 🤯 I would get up earlier but what do you do when the kids are in your bed and would wake the second I get up?!

These are great ideas. I will add that people should drink to thirst, not force the water intake. If you workout then drink. (PS i am a nurse practitioner in urology) the exception is for people who have kidney stones. Then they should add lemon to the water and drink to Uribe being very pale. You look amazing and are awesome.

Yes, there's a popular misconception that we're all dehydrated. If you're thirsty, your body is telling you to drink something. That's it's natural way of taking care of itself.

I live in a hot country and in the summer I add rehydration powder to a bottle of water and sip it throughout the day alongside other drinks, it helps to keep the mineral and salt levels up when sweating in the heat.

Feelings of hunger and thirst are often misinterpreted. If you think you are hungry between mealtimes, drink a full glass of water. Your body needs enough water to keep you well, which is why you should have pale or even clear urine by 10am, every day. Your organs will thank you, too.
