Grass is ok for dogs my Labrador eats loads of it especially when she has a rumbling in her tummy , she is always fine afterwards ❤❤

It was me who told you about the plants being 30 cm away from the fence the reason again why when it rains the plant will get rain on them if you look at your house after raining there is a dry area by the house also the plants will need room to grow

They are fine Kev, we have other plants along the fenceline and they are fine too but thanks for your input.

I made that mistake Kevin, by planting my hydrangia too close to the house. Now it has spread out on three sides, the side against the house had nowhere to go, so it's flat against the house.......not a good plan because we need to paint the house without breaking up the plant (the plant now being 4ft high!) Also, the plant is not in a lovely circular shape as it should be. So Martin may regret his decision in a few years!

You are quite right. There’s no room to grow and they won’t be round. The back will die off and you’ll get semi circles. But it will still be ok. Just water it in well in its first year. Feed with ericaceous feed and put ericaceous soil on it in late spring each year. They will look lovely in a line.

I was in my hometown of Winchester just recently, very much enjoyed my stay and the amazing pub food and food in general. We visited the fabulous vegetables market down town and feasted on strawberries and cherry tomatoes. My daughter noted how delicious the fresh produce is. I love jacket potatoes and like butter and blue cheese,any blue cheese ,on them.I do them like you do. Our farm market butcher does special order tomahawk and tomaporks.

I save my used coffee beans and feed them to my hygrangeas. They are now 1m tall x 1m wide and covered with flowers. Four in the back garden and one at the front. Beautiful plants. Leave the dead flowers on through the winter and cut them off Feb/March.
