Ik everyone makes them different but usually put the condensed milk on when it's warm then the caramel so it soaks into the cake then I mix a little caramel in with the cool whip add the butterfinger and drizzle caramel on the top but this looks good also.

I made a Butterfinger cake for my cousin's grad party and after I put the condensed milk/caramel mixture on I also added a jar of hot fudge topping. At first my hubby & I thought it would be too much/make the cake too wet but everybody loved it. I also used 16oz of cool whip instead of 8 but that was just personal preference.

My son's birthday is the 19th of March. He'll be 33. I asked him what kind of something did he want me to make him for his birthday, it was butterfinger cake. I already knew, lol.
