Hope you have the time and patience to practice using one. I don't personally have one, but they definitely look like they're a challenge to use right, especially for newcomers to it. I want to try it out, but my lack of coordination will really punish me for it 😅

@jamesbearvr5 жыл бұрын
Yes, in order for the whip to glide easily through hands and other parts you need to put some type of KY lube on it in order to not cause friction. Some companies that sell a fiber optic whip have this stuff called "flow gel" or whatnot.
@thomaatoes28745 жыл бұрын
@@jamesbearvr oh excuse me I never knew it needs to be lubricated that way I thought the lube part was a *sexual* joke but it actually is a necessity. Sorry I am new to this and am interested to actually buy one. I have flow lights and what to try out new ones and this got my interest.
@jamesbearvr5 жыл бұрын
@@thomaatoes2874 I am new to it as well and want to get a flow whip in the future as well! And the whole gelling or lubing it a little makes sense because if not people have problems having the whip not glide through as easy and plus you can probably do the tricks faster because the dang thing is slippery lol. I do VR180 videos so once I get one I can't wait to see how it looks.

@dummb12344 жыл бұрын
It took some time for me to develop my flow. My best advice is keep your sense of individuality and try not to get too wrapped up in doing certain tricks or moves. The whip doesn’t really have a definitive shape like a hoop or staff making it more diverse. Lol once I get my house I will try and make some tutorials.

Yeah it was new at the time so no one really had any tutorials on what to do. I was one of the first ppl to pick up this flow toy
@dummb1234Ай бұрын
I will also add this is my favorite prop because it doesn’t have a definitive shape. Each flow can be unique and it’s not cookie cutter like everything else that can only do certain moves because of its shape. My flow (if you’ve seen my later videos) combines tracing with off body because I am the tallest whipper I’ve come across so strictly tracing doesn’t have the same effect on me. So many other videos I have should have more views than this, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder I guess 🤷🏾♂️😅
@rudycastillo31762 жыл бұрын
nice trails but there is no method or flow....learn to feel the music and make it come to life with your dance...
@dummb1234Ай бұрын
I don’t disagree. I was one of the first ppl to pick this prop up so videos like this one make me cringe because of that same reason. Watching the progression was pretty amazing though. Still don’t know why this is my most watched video because I don’t think it’s all that, but at the time there wasn’t much to go off of.
@dummb1234Ай бұрын
I will also say this prop is my favorite because it doesn’t have a definitive shape. Every other prop does so it looks cookie cutter. A lot of ppl have a different style and flow which makes it unique, and makes for one hell of a light show.

I don’t think it’s all that either haha, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder and for some reason people find this one captivating. Of all of my videos I never expected this one to be liked anywhere near as much as it’s been.
