I am a new player (5 months) with stiga offensive classic. I went quickly to dhs hurricane 3 neo commercial on forehand after about 3 months because pingsunday youtuber said that its not wrong to learn how to play with sticky rubbers. I find it very difficult and am thinking of going back to the rubber I started with, which was Yasaka Rigan. The sticky rubber gives a lot of spin and control in small touches close to the net because it has zero bounce (negative bounce), but it is much less consistent. My brave thought for trying sticky rubber was that I figured there would be more reward for when I hit the ball correctly, and so more feedback to me in how to develop my stroke, but I think the amount of force that is needed to produce a good stroke with DHS H3 neo is too much for a beginner. Even tho I tried playing very much, my muscles and brain could not keep up with the amount of playing that is needed. One other thing I like with sticky rubbers are the ability to make really advanced serves.

Hey 👋. I started with sticky rubbers being a kid, while I learned the fundamentals and basics. But every player is different, and maybe you could try an all around rubber, like Razka 7, Gewo Nexxus or Stiga DNA M or S. In this stage, you will spend a lot of time building your forehand, backhand, timing and feeling with the ball. My best wishes to you in this journey. Training is the only way to improve 👊

Hi! Great video! I’m considering going all Stiga! You have maybe talked about it already and for that I’m sorry. For me dragongrip will be half the price of dignics 09c. But some say that the dignics 09c lasts way longer. What is your opinion on that? Which rubber is more durable?
@VictorMoraga21 күн бұрын
I think is possible that 09c lasts a bit longer. But I don't keep a rubber for more than a month. It depends about the amount of training/playing time you use them. I remember the maximum time with a rubber was around 2 months especially for my backhand, just because of my game style playing more with Forehand. Every player is different. And now, I just switched to the NEW DNA Dragon Power released a month ago from STIGA.

Dang, you're reverse penhold is fantastic! I wish mine looked like that! I'm thinking about getting a new penhold setup sometime soon, as I'm playing a lot more at my club at University. I'm currently leaning toward a Hurricane 301T for the blade, Hurricane 3 Neo Provincial blue sponge (39 hardness) for Forehand and Victas V > 15 Extra in that sweet new ITTF approved blue color for RPB. Does this setup sound alright to you? For the Victas V > 15 Extra should I go with 2.0mm thickness or MAX (which is 2.2mm I believe). You're much more experienced in penhold, and table tennis in general for that matter, than I am, so if you have other combinations or recommendations, I'd be glad to hear them! Thanks!

@VictorMoraga Жыл бұрын
You know every player is different. And I like to feel the ball and I know that the feeling comes from a mix between blade glue and rubber. For my testing, I kept the same blade, glue, etc. DNA DG and H3 are similar in control, a bit higher H3 because of the tackines. DNA DG is high throw angle, so you will pass the ball to the other side safely. H3 makes the ball to fly straight. For some that capability is great, for me too straight is dangerous. Take care.

Hi 👋. My wife used Stiga VPS eternity before. And I tested it a little bit but Cybershape Carbon is better than VPS in almost everything. Well balanced blade, just correct stiffness, and I loved the control I got. You can almost use any rubber on that blade. Before to try DNA Dragon Grip what kind of player are you? If you want to make the transition on the blade side 100000% recommended, but for the rubber depends of your type of style. Donic BlueGrip C2 is a great balanced option and other medium/hard rubbers too. Andro C53 arrived to the market now with similar characteristics too.

Abrazo.
