Have you ever moved into a beautiful neighborhood and then your neighbors paint their house bright blue and Jack their car up for four months, leave their garbage cans full and smelly, leave old lawn furniture all over the driveway, park a broken car in the driveway, I can go on and on. One bad neighbor can ruin the value of all the houses in that neighborhood and make it such an eyesore. You can’t just take it me small complain and put down an HOA. I agree sometimes they are insane. But RVs are not always like herbs some are filthy dirty and beyond bad eye sight.

I have a smaller version and very similar layout in a 2020 Ford Transit Connect. My vehicle is not as wide or long as a Metris, but my conversion suits me well. Done by Moxie Van Co in Chattanooga TN. Love the poptops!

She may have paid a fortune for this too, we don’t know. The main reason people get the hard tops is because some people hate how noisy the pop ups are when it’s windy and how temperatures transfer more easily because they’re thin and no insulation. I think both have their good & bad aspects.

This was fantastic. I love how the roof opened up and gave all that head space and it was done on a mini van . How awesome is that. Did she by any chance mention how much say just opening up the roof cost and putting in the pop top. I like this opening better than some of the harder cutouts I have seen. Always good information.

This van is nice but I cannot help but think…what if someone hits you and totals it? I see so many accident’s & fatalities w/vans in FL and I was hit twice and cars totaled by drivers speeding, on their cell phones etc.!! I bought an ambulance and converted it…yet my head gaskets went. The dealer bought it for $1000.00 because I was forced to auction it off due to the HOA who was doing illegal things (now all fired and being sued by resident’s. Any way…great set up and enjoy!!

Wow, what a setup! And the auto transport is a good alternative to driving round trip to anywhere. I used it from Chicago back to California once and Amtraked it home. Everything went smoothly, 😂and I'd do again for sure. And this movement you called it will be part of modern-day history in time. Something the grandchildren can say grandma was a part of👏!

Great video! I have a 2021 Metris camper (built out by PeaceVans in Seatlle, which I highly recommend). I absolutely love it, but just to set expectations for anyone who is considering getting one, you will not get 28mpg unless you're parachuting down a mountain. 21-22mpg is a more realistic range, which is still excellent compared to other minivan-based options (and way better than most RVs).

@@ButterflyTracks I recently had a conversation with the Developers of a senior community where you knowingly purchase these little tiny houses and everything I asked about the man replied that it had to be approved by the committee. No clothes lines no political signs no twirly wind things no bird feeders none of these things without prior approval the next day I was on the phone with one of the real estate agents that handles those properties and we talked about the rules this is not a homeowner's association this is one of those places you buy into but I asked her I said I would love to have the addresses of all of those people on that said committee because I would like to drive past their homes to see whether or not they have bird feeders and clothes lines and political signs and twirly things in their yard. Janet she literally gasped and said ma'am I am glad you said that because it never crossed my mind and I will bring it up to the said committee I told her that people in nursing homes had more rights to decorate
