I CANNOT BELIEVE IT!! 2 WEEKS ago I was given a sewing machine. Bought a pattern.this pattern. All of a sudden this video shows up in my recommendations. I didn't even realise it was the same pattern at first. Fate or what!!💖

You look so gorgeous with this dress! I bought the pattern today and your video is very useful. I'll keep reading on how to deal with the gaping armhole... but thank you!

You did an absolutely beautiful job on this very unusual dress. I've never seen one like it. It looks so beautiful on you.

It's beautiful I was thinking of getting this pattern. Now I'm kind of unsure I'm busty so I might have to adjust it somehow. I was thinking of adding snaps to keep it from opening more but idk if that would limit the arm movement. Maybe snaps would work for you?
@gwenheng4 жыл бұрын
Flapper ghoul - Yeah snaps might work! But I usually just wear a white / beige slip underneath so I’m okay with flashing my (lack of) side boobs a little ;) Hmm I feel that fitting a full bust might be tricky like you mentioned! Perhaps a muslin will help. ♥️ Sorry I’m not very good at checking my KZbin so this is a tardy reply. But thank you so much for checking my video out! x

I fit you super beautiful! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ They have made me want to make one too, where can I get the patterns ?
@gwenheng Жыл бұрын
I got mine from Spotlight when I was living in Sydney. Not sure if they are in print still but you could probably find copies on eBay or Etsy. Use the name of the pattern and number as search terms! ✨

On your blog, you say other people have reviewed this dress to. I can't seem to find other ones. Im looking for some guidance with the instructions for attaching the midriff pieces (steps 14 to 16). Thanks

Hi Rene! Here are some of the other blog posts that discussed this pullover dress: pintuckstyle.blogspot.com/2015/05/new-vintage-pattern-review-butterick.html www.lauramaedesigns.com/2015/05/pattern-illustrations-versus-reality.html accoutrements-morag.blogspot.com/2015/12/pattern-review-butterick-6212-retro.html Unfortunately, I don't think any of these talk about the specific steps you mentioned though! I hope you will have the steps figured out soon!

I don’t want the top so loose. What should I do?
@gwenheng4 жыл бұрын
Did you mean loose on the front or the sides? For the front, you can make a small-bust adjustment. For the sides... it's a little trickier and I suggest simply wearing a slip underneath.. :)
