Dispatched to an accident and had to pull 2 dead children out, pulled over a marine dwi that wanted to fight but got him cuffed, he lost dispatched to a domestic where a husband blinded one eye of his wife and fought us, he went to prison -etc. Not defending wrong attitudes but it is stressful.

I've heard and seen so many cops trying to arrest and site people for cussing.... ridiculous....when I was 13 me and a buddy we're detained and he spit on the ground. The cop said "don't do that it's illegal!" A few minutes later my buddy did it again and the grown ass 45+ year old cop punched him square in the face. Absolutely disgusting. Edit: few years back, that same buddy of mine was turned into swiss cheese and killed by Denver police. Dudes didn't even put their lives in danger at the moment he was killed ...he had one of HIS friends with him in the passenger seat who survived.

I lived in Sundance and never had a problem with local law enforcement. They were always pretty cool. That being said it’s pretty obvious what the guy was doing was legal. Period. The sheriff of crook county is a whole other deal.

@Sol Dei There aren't many towns left that aren't a part of an insurance pool with the surrounding communities. Though lawsuits like this one don't go much over their usual 20-30k deductible. You can partially thank these pools for how our cities and counties got this bad. Citizens generally don't get to know there's a problem since the city budget just reflects the insurance cost so nothing is done about poor administration and behaviour even if it raises premiums.

If I may, I do agree with you on a more semi-formal intro being best, but I would also say that in some parts of the country showing an interest in what's going on simply comes with an honest question. The woman in the yellow sweater was curious and friendly, with a smile on her face when she asked her question. I think you could have tried to be a bit more calm and open and felt the situation out and not assume the question came from a negative attitude. I grew up in the Rocky Mtn states and lived here most of my life. That's kind of typical for small towns. Jason doesn't usually go up to a stranger, and demand he engage in a conversation. Also, he's is not an auditor that provokes a response so he can sue. However, he did both of those that day. I have enjoyed much of what he has done on the channel, but look at these interactions objectively. It was about a year ago, and and I really didn't notice this anywhere else. Mostly, I am glad he is so well researched, and doesn't make many mistakes. Hope this is just one thing like it, or that he had something specific in research that pointed to this being needed.

I think he settles out of court for undisclosed amounts, and we the people never get to hear a peep of it. He's my fav auditor for entertainment but as far as keeping us updated, we get nothing. Probably some NDA they have with the courts they aren't able to speak publicly about it. This probably nets them bigger settlements
