'i think we make God look like us for a reason, inspite of all we trust, we just wanna be believed in.' this is too beautiful.

Every couple of years, a poem emerges from someone else that feels like it should have come from me. So so many lines of this one pierce my heart. I want to love like this, to be loved like this, to even speak to myself with this much truth.

I can't believe I'm watching this poem only 4 hours after it was posted. This poem feels eternal. Everything about it. The way it was written. The way a loved one shared it with me. Everything about this poem screams "god!" therefore screams; "us!" therefore means; Everyone. I haven't written poetry in a really long time but I sure as hell feel like picking up a pen again. Thank you Andrea, thank you button poetry, thank you, summer.

@Moh'd Gaki - What a beautiful (and beautifully written) comment. I can see just by how you express this that you have a lot of depth waiting to come out. The world needs to hear it.

I've watched this at least a dozen times. Andrea is a virtuoso, helping the world understand and give words to their feelings, which (at least for me) helps me feel more. One line in this poem that I don't understand is, "I love you, because you've never had a mirror face." Can someone explain what that means? What is a mirror face?
@lilac.28589 ай бұрын
I merely have a theory: A person with a mirror face would behave according to how people around them do, but the person without the mirror face is always being themselves
@JasonMcGarva9 ай бұрын
@@lilac.2858 - Oh, that's a pretty solid theory. The person being themselves is far more interesting.

SO MANY emotions have came... AND Gone, Some I think about Daily, some evenly, or sporadically!! BUT ... THIS, FROM WHAT I'VE HEARD, SEEN, FELT SO FAR.. IS JUST... WOW!!! 🦋🦋 What an OUTSTANDING Write!! HIT HOME.. 8th time watching before this comment, and I cried, laughed, and felt MANY MORE EMOTIONS... Speaks Straight To The Soul👏👏👏 Thank You for Sharing! 😇 💜
