I had a 98, 5th gen koala furby. She was just angelic. Even though I didn't know a single word english and furbish that toy saved my childhood of being excluded and mistreated by my friends and cousins. I had a undiagnosed ADHD back in the time and May-Lah (it was her name) was simply just like me. 😢 I still can't understand how anyone get scared by those angelic creatures.

I loved my Furby too from back in the 90's I just watched too many twilight zone and Xfiles episodes as a kid so I had a very interesting imagination. I was also very sad I lost my Furby during the move. Honestly onlyy that one time when the batteries ran out was when I was scared like hell 🤭

I grew up in the 90’s but I didn’t have a Furby. I’m having a hard time convincing my 37 year old adult self I don’t need this toy. This redesign is just so cute I love it I might just have to get it.

Just do what I did, I bought it for "science" or to "investigate" the strange occurrences which surround Furbies 🤭. You can also just say it is a party entertainment gift. So when you have somebody over you can do the fortune telling game. Do I need to list more excuses 🥰

No worries, i was in college When my family got the 1998 one, and my parents went bonkers as much as me! "Kwa-da" is still alive and well and he represents many good moments and easier times. It's okay to have some guilty pleasures, get one and don't worry about what everyone else will think!

Omg I had the royal furbie when I was a kid and it sounded demonic when the batteries ran low loll. I'm in love with the inside of the box this one comes in. I normally don't like how reboot designs look, but I actually really like this one 🥺💕

You are so right, really when Furby ran out of battery their true nature came out 🤭😅 Me too the inside of the box is so nice, and I love how you can use it as Furbies Room, but also as a backdrop for other dolls I'm on the 50/50 sometimes I like reboots and sometimes I don't. It really depends on the execution of the toy and if they have modernized it to today's standards.

My purple furby is arriving tomorrow! This will be fun to interact with! My family had the original one (gray with a white belly) and 2 emototronic ones. i still have them btw, and i bought a few more on the way, including the 2012 one (dark blue) that i travelled to the USA to get him. I always had a thing for these silly furball owls, they are just so awesome toys. Btw, the light show mode is meant to be a nightlight for kids to relax with.

From what i know, Furbies should only awaken by themselves if they were thrown around and mistreated. However I've never seen one awaken by itself so I'm pretty sure they don't do it. By the way i only use duracell and varta

Oooohhhh, you weren't even alive back then, that explains a lot, what we now call mistreatment of toys was back then considered "experimenting" during those times X-files and Twight zone were very much watched in my house, so yea the toys did get "special" treatments (so did my barbies😅 ). Also I live in a flat next to a very busy route in a big city, so the house was constantly shaking, the good old days 😅🤭

Purple was easy, that being a royal collar, and I've always wanted something I could name King. The "chill out" thing is wonderful for an anxious adult like me. Who'd have thought a Furby could do more than just be a toy?

I’ve played with the 90’s furby for a bit in a friends house and the brats too at a friends house it was fun but luckily I didn’t own a furby because it would be scary to sleep at night due to not being able to turn it off with out needing an adult to unscrew the toy.

The only bad things about new Furby include The fact that they don't dance Their beak doesn't move (which makes it look terrifying) They're eyes aren't animated They don't have a corresponding application which is booty And the design. The design and colors they chose is completely overused! Like they use those bright ass colors on MLP and it has been used on Care Bears and Lego Friends back then they all used to be unique and pretty now they are just colorful rainbow garbage Also Furbies are supposed to be for everyone. With this one I don't see it you can brush it and terms like besties are used. Those kinds of things and terms are usually aimed at girls if you ask me (not saying that only girls can brush hair and call each other besties) I feel like Hasbro could've did a better job by making this for everyone and making the design for gender neutral rather than super girly. Otherwise this succeeded in giving good vibes and I'm glad Furbies are back again they're super cute!

I understand yoru points, it does deviate a lot from the previous Furby versions and I still do hope they also bring out a a Furby with either grey tones (as shown on the inside cover art) or brown tone colors. I just happen to really like the fortune teling feature (yes magic 8 ball was my favorite party game to play) and I'm also a big fan of bright colors, so that's why it works for me, but I can understand that it is not everybody cup of tea 🙂

Personally I love these colors, I'm trying to get my hands on the limited edition Rainbow one. I would be nice if they also made a Grey, White or Black Furby, but I guess that really depends on I guess the succes of these. I really don't like they cut A LOT of features and movement for furby. Also i don't like this design. They made it too much agressivly "cute" wich is just ew. And this 5 features just kinda cringe, i liked Furby being like a real pet. Now its just....generic interactive toy that can copy you, sing and do other weird stuff. But i like they decided to use doll eyes again< its reminds me of old furbs. Even thought those eyes are......cringe
