The big fences are to keep people safe from the children, of course. I'm amazed that estate wasn't listed. A real shame it was demolished.

True aha and it is a shame but I’m glad it was at least documented before it got swallowed up into the quarry.

The fences aren't there to keep the kids in. They are there to keep Jimmy Saville out

I can remember my Dad taking me to the farm sale of machinery and tools after Mr Bingham died. I would have been about 10 at the time. It was like stepping back in time with a lot of old standard Fordson tractors from the 1940’s in the sale. My Grandfather worked at Orient Lodge before getting his own farm.
