My suggestion is to make a video on how to put together a "dream team" of support if you don't have one with no cash up front, who should be on the team, where to find them, ,etc.

Hi Moran, thank you for all the great content you are giving for free! I can tell that you are a generous and kind person. I have been learning a lot about acquisitions for a month now. I have just had a phone conversation with Angela Parkenson who works with you. I live in Jerusalem. I hope to learn from you more!!

Hey Moran, I saw almost all your videos and got great value from them and would love to see a real life example of how do you do a succesful first meeting-cold call (of course hiding the confidential content that potencial sellers may care about), I think it would be super interesting for all of us. It could be just the audio or just the camera of the meeting showing you and what questions do you do and what answers you receive for them. Thanks for the content man, really helpful.

Great content Moran. So what is the approach in the meeting when I am optioning the small business with the goal of assigning the option to a larger company - along with say 3 or 4 other similar businesses (that I have also optioned) ? And as I intend to sell to the larger company for a higher multiple (say 8X or 10X) how do I explain that to the small business owner, who I am paying 3X or 4X ?

YES! Real selling is more listening than talking. This is why God gave us two ears, and only one mouth. We are supposed do to more listening in life!

Another jewel thank you for the share. I am looking for any videos you have for someone who is just getting started. How do you position yourself in the eyes of the brokers and sellers/owners? Not so much the positioning of abundance or the psychology. But rather from the standpoint of their choosing to collect due diligence on you as a true potential buyer. Experience, your financial footing. Etc. Because I am mostly looking at deals that will be debt based upon the companies assets. Versus out of my pocket or other. This would be a great subject to cover possibly if you haven't yet done so. And for others as well. Thanks again.

Great videos Moran, it's a breath of fresh air when so much of the make money industry is geared towards doing it online through websites etc.... Could you make a video on analysing the companies figuring out their cash flow and coming up with a valuation? Also, a video on approaching banks and getting funding. What do they look at? Will they try to work with you and accommodate your deal?

Most important thing in a meeting is, "You never get a second chance to make a first impression." Everything must be perfect, dress, vernacular, manners, specialized knowledge, and finally, controlling the flow of the meeting. I have discovered that lawyers are "deal killers," though. Lawyers usually aren't the owners. Lawyers are more like parasites. They don't produce anything. They are paper shufflers. I have dealt with many, and in my dealings they have recognized that I am in charge of the relationship. They often forget they are in a principal/ agency relationship. Yet, not many of them know the United States Constitution with Bill of Rights! Amazing, isn't it?

Thanks Moran, i had a quesiton about the 1st meeting, i found a business i'd like to enquire about but i recieved an NDA from a middle man, the NDA has lots of rules one of which is for me not to communicated directly to the seller (business owner) unless i get written concent from the middle man first etc... is this normal ?
@StephenG16 жыл бұрын
Skip the deal? No! Some of the business brokers setup a criteria where the potential buyers need to cover to release the information they have about the business. And often that is to avoid window shoppers like you. Just prove them you are a real deal and they will release the information. A different thing is when you try to negotiate a deal and the brokers interfere, just speak with the seller and explain him why their broker gives them a bad advise and you will go to another direction.

I believe every deal should have a connection. My philosophy is to always be honest and speak from the heart. I wouldn’t buy a business I didn’t feel there was a universal calling. we are human. Leave “cut throat deals” for the multi million $$ corporations. I prefer to buy a business from someone that loves their business.
