“Free” Hornet (Lease) with Grand Wagoneer Purchase at Cape Coral CDJR. My wife and I traveled from MA down to FL to trade her 18 Wrangler Rubicon JL on a 24 Gladiator Rubicon. We got a hell of a deal and we’re treated amazingly! I saw the Hornet / Grand Wagoneer ad while I was in town and asked the Salesman. It’s a 24 Month Lease for “Free” with Full Price GW Purchase. Regardless we’re 700 miles into heading back to MA in her new Gladiator! Cape Coral CDJR in Cape Coral FL was AMAZING!!!

GM tried a promotion for Cadillac a few decades back, buy a Caddy and get a GEO for free. People bought Cadillacs but very few actually wanted or accepted a GEO. In Stellantis world, the GG / GC models have been rotting on dealer lots, the LB and KM models have been rotting at the Plants. The GG / GC will probably require a jump start or two (or more) and have alarms going off and a cluster full of warning lights and messages about the various systems that need service but in most cases the vehicle will actually be drivable or at least move under it's own power (unless of course the CAN bus goes down and you won't be able to get it out of park). Getting a junk car for free might be a plus given that the LB / KM will require a tow more often than most people realize, so at least having a junk car available that might get you where you want to go while the expensive toy is in the shop makes a perverse kind of sense. What Stellantis really needs to do is put the Fratzog exhaust on the GG models so the people who buy an LB can still amuse themselves making phony engine sounds while the money car is down for the count.

I'm not saying they're common, but I've seen some over the years. Typically, it tends to be somewhat of a bait and switch. Usually a combination of an economy car and a more expensive model, with an MSRP that is 2 to 3 times the cost of the economy car. Typically, they'd show the top trims or most highly optioned examples of both vehicles in the advertisement, but offer the less desirable or base models of both vehicles, in reality. Think base engines, few or no options, etc. Then when you get to the money side of things, you see that the dealership is effectively just combining and keeping all factory rebates and manufacturer incentives. Add to that, you still pay all applicable taxes and fees for the allegedly "free" car. It ends up being not so good of a deal, after all.

In the last video you mentioned the board meeting going on, discussing about ther future of the V8. They want control of Chrysler because of the possible profits it generates. But they can't make it successful with the EU restrictions and mandates. They don't want to spin it off or sell it, if they sell it and it recovers they will look like the fools they are. So, they do nothing and miss even more opportunities making it even worse. What does that mean for us? We will get more Hornets and EV Chargers.

CDJR is influenced by the EU & Europe as well as the USA! The problem is simple! The USA's Automotive Industry is moving away from EVs due to the new Trump Administration, & now there is a conflictive environment of protocol involved?
