Drive a 2000 P71 with street appearance package, lime green because it was a taxi, before that it was an FBI car, aside from that though the car has balls, lkotsa torque, had some dude in a door brand new BMW M3 try to race me when I was already at 40 and he got smoked all the way to 70 in a 45 mph zone, i let back off to 50 he tried again i had OD off and pulled away again, interesting seeing a car over 40k bucks worth getting owned by a car that only costed 1k for me and i still have a check engine light repair to fix and its a simple boot in cylandar 5 lol.

Have your car serviced by the same person who services that fleet. They keep a record of all of the maintenance done on them and can give you some suggestions as to whether or not its a good car to buy or not. This is priceless.

@Interceptorking8 жыл бұрын
You are correct Mike Harris. The State Troopers and County Sheriffs take their vehicles home at night and park the car at their house. No one else drives that car but the 1 Trooper assigned to the vehicle. They take good care of their vehicles as if it was their personal car. The vehicles are made to go at a high rate of speed for a longer period of time than a civilian's car, therefore they can handle it. The vehicle is always professionally maintained & up kept and the oil is changed every 3k miles. A P71 has heavier duty wheels, tires, suspension, brakes, cooling and charging systems. Stainless Steel Dual exhaust, etc... No other $3000 car even comes close to the P71. Not even close. I reply to your comments because you're not a moron and I don't talk to morons. See criminals don't like these cars because they don't like Law Enforcement and they shit a brick every time they see one of these behind them. All they can do is troll people on the internet and talk shit. My picture on here is a Crown Vic I had years ago. I'm on my 495th Crown Victoria right now so I must not know what the hell I'm talking about. Cheers!
@charliedee92768 жыл бұрын
Your right on the money. My 06 P71 was a detectives personal car. Slick top, no backseat cage, all black and only 117,000 and 4110 hours. I have been driving the ass off this thing all summer and I am knocking down almost 19 mpg in Metro Detroit traffic. When I finish the engine/trans that I am building now and get it in we are really going to have fun. 6.8L is always more fun then 4.6L, though for only a 4.6L engine they run dam good. Mine is going into my friends fox body Mustang.

@tiredlawdog8 жыл бұрын
That dash has more lights on than a Christmas tree. The traction light is in reality a "low tire" indicator. If you have 34 lbs in all tires, then you have a bad TPS or one that needs to be retrained. Air bag light will come on and stay on if the passenger air bag light is burnt out. As to the ABS light, get ready to spend a bundle of money if you want to replace the ABS module. I have an 08 and have discovered that you have brakes, just no ABS. No biggie. The light that scares me is the little wrench, that indicates big trouble. Transmission, or drive train. I'm convinced Ford used white wash on these white cars. Everyone I've seen the paint is coming off. I don't know what you paid for that car, but they are a good car and will run forever if you take care of it.

Sometimes the Airbag light can come on because the seat belt is linked to the airbag system. The seat belt can get dirty inside and not have a correct connection, basically telling the system that the seat belt is not connected and the electrical connection inside is bad. Sometimes just cleaning it will fix it, along with resetting the computer.

Why would anyone want to buy a used police car? three reasons to stay away:1. Cops beat the hell out of it. Anytime you have someone drive a car that is not theirs, expect it to be beat. Same as rent a car. Think about it, the actual mileage on the dash does not reflect the hours and hours its been idling. 2. Smells like Bacon inside.3. Like driving a fishbowl. Everyone looks at you like your a cop and is afraid to pass you on the highway.
@mikeharris32938 жыл бұрын
+Romulan112 Actually, your last reason is the best reason to drive it. I've owned 3 and it's nice not being cut off anymore. My last was the best car that I had, bought it at 60k miles, and kept it till 145k and the ONLY thing it needed was tires, brakes, battery and gasoline. Also, I've owned a dodge charger rental car from enterprise. Also another fine car that I had ZERO problems with. The only thing that smells here is your worthless post.
@Romulan1128 жыл бұрын
Hey Mike. You remind me of that fish that mimics the poisonous fish but isn't. Others think he is but he is not. :They even use the black/white colors :)
@mikeharris32938 жыл бұрын
+Romulan112 if your attempting to suggest I'm a wannabe cop u would be wrong I may have owned a few former police vehicles and even a rental vehicle but that only means I'm smart with money. YOU however remind me off someone with minimal mental capacities, I'll let you figure out the more common terminology some would describe such a person. BTW, my vics I owned were turned into more civilian looking vehicles. Nice try though.
@Romulan1128 жыл бұрын
It doesn't mean your smart with your money buying cars that have been beaten on Mike. Since when do the police treat their cars nice. Also, with a police car as you may not know is that they IDLE all freaking day. The mileage on the dash does not reflect much. My question is, why can't we have a discussion here without your comments hitting below the belt? It shows your character you know.
@mikeharris32938 жыл бұрын
Again, your brain is failing............You somehow think that regular people do not "beat" on their cars that also eventually end up for sale for other people. Wow............. All I said was it's nice to not be cut off on the road, what's so wrong with that? And Idling is not a bad thing if you wish to explain your mechanical knowledge, by all means proceed. If you want to talk about idling the worst thing your gonna get is carbon build up and poor fuel mileage........A far cry from your claim of being beat on to the point that they can not be used to sell to the public after their use. Would the simple fact that government agencies pick a particular vehicle for long term, severe duty use suggest something to you? So pardon my hitting below the belt when your character suggested that I'm a faker when you don't know shit about me, nor cars for that matter, and even suggesting they smell like bacon when hippy chicks like you most likely smell of fish...........ya know?
