Oh Nick--This has to be one of my most favorite rummages! I'm glad they kept up (somewhat) with the maintenance on the tower/ruin, albeit the re-pointing with the grey concrete isn't ideal. I love this place. Love it. And I don't even like swimming pools (at all), but it just goes so perfectly there! The price also seems reasonable, even though a lot of people might not think so because there are only 2 bedrooms. I need to win the lotto...♥

Absolutly speechless !! Wow, wow, and wow !!! The House of a man or women is his/her own castle, but this is a castle in a castle. What a restoration, remarcable. The reception and kitchen, simple but cozy. Stunning master bedroom, again perfect restoration. The second bedroom lovely. Both bathrooms, amaizing. The pool is not out of context, it is perfect in context. The castle, walls, tower, etc have a very good restauration work, easy to mantain. I am an archeologist so question . Do you know if it have an archeological dig ? Bravo Nick, amaizing job !!!!

Totally agree, leave it as is. Stunning building and what has been done doesn't make the old laugh at the new. I had a 200 year old building and people would always ask when are you going to fix the ruin. It's still standing and looking marvellous. Kudo's to the owners for their discernment.

INCREDIBLE!!!! At first when you show the torn down castle, I thought.... "Talk about a fixer upper!!!" Then you show the house. That was a relief.... The house is small yet quaint. very livable. And the size of those fireplaces are very nice. I suppose it can get quite cozy with the wood burning stoves, less dramatic, yet an easy fix. The tower would be perfect to view the stars and planets during summer nights. Small but doable pool. Plenty of space for growing your own food. And extra guest quarters with private bath. Being a single woman, it would be ideal for me.

This is absolutely fantastic! 💯 Whoever buys it, if they market it well, could make a "king's ransom" (pardon the pun), but charging a fee for photographers to use. Here in the US, would also do great for wedding photos, prom and graduation photos. People would love the opportunity.

I know this is from a year or so ago but has it sold? It is such a beautiful and unique property; my favourite by far. I would add a master bedroom and a master bathroom to the main floor using the small window area between the kitchen and living room as the new door/entrance. A couple questions, if it’s still available: 1. Where is the driveway and car park area? Is there a garage or shed…where does he keep his lawn tractor etc…? How far to the nearest village/town and what service are available? Thank you in advance. 😊

Yes, it did finally sell but it did have a few problems. Nearest town is 20 minutes, no real garage area and I think the gardening equipment was kept in the wooden shed under the stairs to the tower. It was absolutely unique. ❤️🙏😊 N.
