Not sure what the economics of waymo's solution is - but in terms of tech, TSLA is very far behind - maybe more glamourous esp with the younger crowd - but Waymo is in production whereas with TSLA we have fancy concepts rn.

Any opinion on TRMD?

I am very bullish on it but I was -13% down. I keep dcaing on it. The price target on Yahoo Finance is 44$. To be frank, I don't quite believe in price target. After some time in the market, I learn that long-term psychology is way more important. I have hold a lot of stocks in red until they become green. As it holds a large position in Mark Howards' portfolio, I am confident in holding it long term. Mark is a long-term investor. My Average price is 34.6 with 135 shares. If it goes down to 27 or 28, I will keep dca and hold it long term. Even if it reduces the dividend, I think it is well above 10% dividend yield. I also hold Star Bulk Carriers. Problem with these stocks are they are boring stocks. They rarely catch attention from retail investors. In fact, the main owners of these stocks are institutional investors. I only know TRMD and SBLK through Mark's portfolio. How on earth am I supposed to know these super boring stocks. TRMD can be quite volatile at some day and due to the oil price. But of course it is not as volatile as hot-trend stocks. So I hold this stock and consider it as the long-term inflow of passive income. I will keep building the position when the price goes down further. With the currently expensive market, I prefer to keep dividend stocks in portfolio to prepare for 2025. I am fine if I don't gain much this year. In case the market enters downturn, the dividend stream will be a bonus for my mental stability. I don't try to tell you to buy in it. I know that it is mostly owned by the institutional investors. So, retail investors do not make the price rise.

@@coffeemilk4080 Thank you for your response I really appreciate it! I just discovered TRMD and Star Bulk recently. I agree it is a "boring" sector that isn't talked about enough. I typically try to think in the long term myself, at least for a portion of my portfolio, and the income from these 2 stocks is very enticing to me. I don't trust price targets either, but I don't really need the price to go up as long as the dividend holds. I really wish these companies were more discussed so I could get a better idea of market sentiment around them. I just opened a small position in TRMD.

TRMD holds almost 30% in Mark Howards' portfolio. Is there any chance you talk about this ticker? I have hold it for a few months and want to DCA over the time and try to hold it for a few years. Its ROIC is almost 30%, which is very high. I am not sure whether it is true. If it is true, I don't understand whether it is significantly undervalued right now?

I think you mean Howard Marks...He bought low and had profited handsomely. Shipping is volatile but if you can purchase at a good entry point and ride the waves (pun intended) you will be rewarded. Buy too high and you will break even.
