Daniel your content is amazing, it's not even about ashville or construction, it's the information about running a business, even if you inspire one person to start their own company it's a win, the content is golden and created by someone that has done it and still learning.

A business lesson in asset finance. The information, though summarised, had depth and was delivered masterfully right through to the final case studies. Limited by knowledge of speciality and jurisdiction in the examples, the principles are universal. Well done, Team Asheville! Next video, marketing, advertising, networking, and sales, please? Thank you for the insights!

Brilliant video, I set up as a owner operator 6 months ago and decided to buy a used 6x2 unit outright last month. It can be scary thinking about big repair bills, but having the low overheads generally makes up for that. Keep on smashing it Ashville 😎🤙

Hi Daniel It was good that you mentioned that it can work if an owner driver buys an older vehicle because they will look after it. It’s when you let inexperienced drivers loose on older vehicles that the problems start. Very informative video.

Great video. I've certainly learnt something, wasn't aware of deffering the VAT. We have started to move to leasing and then buying it for £100 end of term rather than hp/finance as you don't need to pay the VAT up front, can be done monthly instead. Knowing what I know now, ill deffer the VAT and finance on the next one!
@rishipancholi
@rishipancholi Жыл бұрын
You can only defer the VAT for upto 3 months i.e when your next VAT return is due to HMRC. It's purely a cashflow tool but only available when financing via Hire Purchase. If you lease then VAT is added to your monthly repayments for the entirety of the finance agreement.

If you choose to rent always have robust insurance because the rental company will always look for those imaginary scratches. As an owner driver January to the end of February it's completely dead and the only way I can get sleep at night is knowing that my truck even though its second hand, at least its paid off and I can afford so there's no one knocking on the door for missed payments. If you have guaranteed contracts then leasing with full repair and maintenance is always the way to go. But again you're only as safe as the people providing you with the loads.

Easy to watch, easy to do. Yeah, if only the world was black and white and easy and everything worked out for your benefit. Thinking as one isn't the same as thinking and doing as one.
