Unfortunately for some, the average one-bedroom is about $1,600, and that is a small bedroom. To me, that makes no sense whatsoever, because I currently live in a 2008 sq feet home, for a few hundreds less, which includes the insurance and property tax. My maintenance has been very little and I have a pretty good idea when I will need the high ticket will be. The apartments for the most, do not include garages.

Additionally, you are unable to deduct your home insurance only your PMI.

You are correct you cannot deduct the insurance on a primary residence. For an investment property, you can deduct the insurance. I could have clarified that better.
