@@osamsal you’re more than welcome, let me know if you give it a go… I may even need a part for a repair myself 😂

I do this in the US! I prefer to part out Dyson but usually just clean out Sharks and resell locally. It's not as much profit but a little less of a hassle storing the parts. I prefer to get vacuums on curbs for free but will pay up to $20 for one at the thrift store if I have to. The margins aren't great as most people locally want to spend $50 or less on a Shark, but it's still okay. I try to get $80-100 but will settle for $50 usually. Most of my finds don't require any purchased items to get them running. They are usually just really dirty and clogged. I clean them out outside and spot clean them with a Mr. Clean magic eraser tool to get them looking new again.

@@KidAMRadio all sounds very similar over here but in pounds. I don’t see many Dysons now i have very much been moved over to shark in the last 2 years. I’m the o my person who repairs them for miles. All very interesting and thank you for commenting. Why have I never thought of trying magic eraser!?! First purchase this weekend I think. Any tricks for clearing up foggy Dyson bins?

@@vacuumhelp I also haven't done a Dyson in some time. Really have only ever done one and the rest are Shark. I'll take other brands if they are free. Magic erasers work great at taking out the superficial scuffs from the plastics. Looks a little better but it requires a far share of rubbing. It can look great though which is why I do that as my last step. I'm not sure on the foggy bins. I have those even after I wash them out thoroughly. A vinegar solution may help but I haven't tried. I thought those would attract more buyers but usually the stuff sells anyway so I haven't really given that one much time or effort. If something works I'd definitely do it though.

@ yeh I am experimenting with some bins over the coming weeks. I’ll give the sponge a go in the sharks. I’ve been using rubbing alcohol to get the paint scuffs off and usually shiny up with car wax. Always looking for better ways… so thank you!

Very good side hustle. E-waste salvation/repair. Wounded what other items this can be done with ?
@vacuumhelp2 ай бұрын
@@namanjitp well that’s a very good point. Yeh I’m sure lots of things are like it. I know nothing about laptops and stuff but surely people who mess about with them could do it (as as example off top of my head) Technically ofcourse scrap yards shave been doing it with cars for decades

@@vacuumhelp that’s true. With this day and age and amount of e-waste I’m shock that’s there isn’t as much awareness of recycling e-waste or Sapir and Repair shops.
