I think plastic caps is rookie things, a hassle and just looks cheap.

Good video. It's important to run the right lug nuts for your wheels. OEM and aftermarket wheels are different and require different lug nut styles. I'm currently in the process of getting a set of Advan lug nuts for my Advan RGII's on my S2000 :)

Question: How do I know that lug nuts I purchase will fit on the aftermarket rims I'm looking to purchase?
@THXIIIRTEEN4 жыл бұрын
Most aftermarket rims have a rounded tapered fitting, I am looking for lug nuts myself, I bought xxr 559 rims and will be getting 60 degree tapered lug nuts, those should fit. Will updated later.

@@NewAgeRedBoy purchased muteki open ended lug nuts (60 degree angle) fit perfect on my xxr 559 wheels (60 degree seating) these xxr 559 wheels have a super deep lug not hole/seating, used 60 MM extended wheels studs (shank length) on my G35 Coupe.
@THXIIIRTEEN3 жыл бұрын
Also, when purchasing lug nuts make sure you fully read the description and it should tell you the seating, most average lug nuts have a rounded 60 degree angle, same thing when purchasing wheels, the description should say the seating degree. If not try to contact the company. Also be very aware of this, the wheels I bought for my car had a super deep lug nut seating hole, and my oem wheel studs were way too short, so I had to purchase 60 MM extended wheel studs, this was my first time buying a wheel setup, so I was unsure if extended wheel studs were going to be too long, I wanted to buy closed ended lug nuts, but I was scared what if the closed ended lug nuts won’t touch the wheel when tightened because what if the closed ended lug nut didn’t cover all the thread etc etc which is why I went with open ended lug nuts sr48 muteki, so keep this in mind when purchasing lug nuts.

I went to a wheel rim shop to get some lug nuts for my aftermarket wheels and they gave me those small ones that you call adapters .. when i go between 55-65mph my steering wheel shakes to the sides not vibrate actually shakes .. which lug nuts should i buy idk much about aftermarket wheels 12x1.5 is my lug size
@KantstandlamGarage2 жыл бұрын
Should always confirm that the wheels you are putting on are made for your car, that is it also balanced and not bent, ensure that the seat of the lug hole on the wheels are either cone or rounded, this would help with choosing the right lug for your wheels. Also torque the wheels down evenly. if nothing seems to be working, maybe check your tires and alignment.
