I did my last easy 10k run today which was so refreshing because I'm not doing heavy weight anymore for the days leading to the race and my muscles feel fresh. I have one last run on Thursday (shakeout run). The rest of the week is dedicated to keeping myself active through mobility/stretching and also maybe some bodyweight workouts. QD: Oddly, my favorite LR shoe in my rotation right now is the Kinvara 11. The Razor Excess 2 is great too, but it's more geared towards LR workouts with the plate. But the K11 is the softest Kinvara of all I've tried, has plenty of protection (24.5mm of forefoot used to be considered standard daily trainer territory), is light and promotes natural running mechanics for me. It does everything well - except for trackwork, which is a departure from other Kinvaras.

I’m glad you made this video. I agree with all of it. I’ve been running in the Max Road 6, and everything you said is correct. I live in Florida, and it is very warm… very warm. The archfit is noticeable, but rolls very well. It kind of reminds me of the Nike Infinity, but much more forgiving. It feels good at easy paces, but when really pushing the pace it’s surprisingly fun! It absorbs the energy and returns it quickly. The upper is just very warm, and it’s not a lightweight. I think the midsole works well for heavier runners like me. It’s resilient and consistent over the long miles. It’s a very good shoe, especially for the price… did I mention it’s warm? It’s really humid and hot here, and my feet cook in these, which is why I have to run in the evening or early in the morning with them.

QD 2: I'm running in the Invincible 3 for long runs. I dont like it compared to the Invincible 1 & 2, but I'm disappointed i can't find another shoe that was as good as the Invincible 1 or 2 for me. I'm running in the V1, what's bad about the V3?
@andrewvanburen5096 Жыл бұрын
@OZSA87 It's a little firmer of a ride in V3. There is definitely some heel slip in the V3 as well. I also preferred the upper and lockdown of the V1 & 2.
@MM-zj4pd Жыл бұрын
More v4 is for easy days, not long runs. You really won’t get a lot of pop there. That being said, I’d still choose it over the invincible 3s because of the heel lockdown😂
@andrewvanburen5096 Жыл бұрын
Definitely has a heel lockdown issue. It's not horrible for me since my easier paces are around 9 min/mile. If I was doing easy runs at 8 min/mile or faster I'd run in something different for sure
@OZSA87 Жыл бұрын
@@andrewvanburen5096 lockdown in the V1 is poor for me, I have to retie the shoe halfway because it just slips out slowly and the laces are way too short, can't do heel lock, cant' even use the last hole because there's not enough lace. My foot volume is not big at all, it's pretty normal.

They sure ruined a good shoe. The strong point is the midsole, yet the version 6 gets heavier, hotter, and continues with the fast-wearing outsole compound.
