IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT! I have started a New channel called "FoodFights" for Fun food reviews and comparisons. Check it out at: / @foodfights6904
Where is the best place to buy Velveeta cheese? Obviously you can buy it at Walmart or Kroger. You can also buy Velveeta Mini blocks at Dollar tree and Dollar General. But if Velveeta isn't on sale this week or you don't have Velveeta coupons or promotions, you can try Walmart's great value cheese loaf instead. it is about half the price and it is almost identical to Velveeta. Who knows, you might be pleasantly surprised.
Is Velveeta cheese real cheese? The package says that Velveeta is made with real American cheese. So it is not imitation cheese but a cheese product. But it is the main ingredient for my queso dip recipe and macaroni and cheese recipe. It is also a required ingredient for tuna and noodle casserole.
The funny thing is Velveeta doesn't need to be refrigerated, unless of course you open it. In that case you will have to put it in the refrigerator after it is opened.

My dad worked at Holsum, and when they reached their quota, they'd literally just swap to Super 1 ,and other generic packaging. Great Value is a company who makes goods exclusively for Walmart, so sometimes they're better, sometimes worse. Great Value Original Ripple Chips are far superior to Ruffles, but that's a rare case. Sam's Choice had better soda.

The price difference was very significant, I don't recall the price of the Velveeta at the store but it is listed online at 7.48 vs. 5.88 for Great Value. However, the price I paid for the Great Value was 4.12 For that amount of savings you can add some extra sharp cheddar cheese and still come out way ahead.

Yeah well but you want to know what's really interesting is it wasn't really all that long ago per say a few years let's just say maybe five years half a decade.... Velveeta cheese was 5 to $6 depending upon where you win unless you went to Kroger than you probably were paying closer to 7 the knock-off brands like great value or Aldi brand was like $3.50!! Want to know what's caused the inflation?? Food stamps!! all of the retailers they're the real welfare recipients not the card holders the card holders at this point or unofficial couriers for the government their job is to take this money down to the likes of Target Walmart Kroger giant eagle Safeway Piggly wiggly Save-A-Lot Aldi course gas stations convenience stores of all kinds mom and pop shops dollar stores you name it if they sell food or food stuff soda anyting consumable and they take EBT they're the real welfare recipients so they're jacking up prices even on the generics!! Food stamps is what's kept most of these stores open for the past 10 years to see some people question will why aren't they enforcing price gouging laws well most of that is because there really is no such thing the majority of the states in this country do not actually have price gouging laws in the states to do while they only go so far this is the federal government and the states alike technically they really want these stores to price gouge the f*** out of groceries why because as long as there's stories keep collecting more and more and more government money the more likely they are to stay open and that keeps your cities and towns looking normal and if it looks normal then the harebrained know nothing superficial shallow sheep known as the middle class won't be any the wiser!! Oh yeah lol 😂😂 🤣😂you're just about to start something the s*** out of your keyboard and telling me all about how your taxes pay for food stamps!! No they don't they just make it look that way via your pay stub so that they can carry on politically dick wagging!! You see all politicians on either side know that you always dick like about being a taxpayer but the reality of it is this your taxes don't even cover the cost of the IRS much less the interest on the money borrowed of year after year everything is borrowed into existence... the pavement on the highway is the military all forms of welfare and every single government job it's all borrow and it's borrowed with money that is printed literally out of the thin air and or created it on a computer it's fake is false it's a farce!! Oh that's right you do indeed pay taxes you do the term sorry your money goes into the abyss of the unknown cuz it sure as hell ain't paying the bills buddy!! they got a borrow for the next second they got to borrow for every nanosecond they got to borrow for every day every week every month every year all the hours and minutes in nanoseconds that make up these days weeks months and years they're borrowing they're essentially just printing counterfeit and then they wrote us into a nice little political system talking about how you pay for all this s*** so you can sit there and talk about how you work!! yes if you get pissed off and just repeat the word work followed by how you do it but you work all these hours that you work hard that you work work work work work you'll go to the voting booth and vote accordingly like a good little sheep!! Follow the money!

So it doesn't matter what box you buy it's all the same stuff so knock off brands are great because everyone else is just a moronic sheep!!

I was hoping for side by side of the ingredients. Many store brands are made by the name brand company with slight changes. Great Value could be Velveeta with more salt and maybe coloring added. I found store brand biscuits in 2 different stores(Kroger and Sav-a-lot) that had exactly the same ingredients, looked and tasted exactly the same. Both stores stopped selling that flavor(honey butter) of biscuits at the same time.

Name brands are worth the extra price. They have spend way more time being the best product, often times being the inventor. Walmart doesn't care about being the best product, they just want to undercut the name brands in their stores for better sales (just how they wiped out local stores in their communities). People really do want the best, but when they see a cheaper no name brand sitting next to an original, they second guess and oftentimes buy the cheaper one, and don't know any different. This will not make walmarts product any better, it just causes the good brand to loose sales.

You couldn't be further from the truth. What an ignorant comment. I am a process engineer specializing in food production. I have been the lead on developing name brand and store brand automation facilities. To do this, we must know the EXACT ingredients a product requires for the equipment to be designed appropriately. I can't count the times I've seen the store brand have the same exact same supplier for their ingredients as a "name" brand. Your opinion is nothing but placebo. The store brands run cheaper because they aren't paying for the name brand logo. That is all. Most of the time the product is literally the exact same. Sometimes it's not, for example, dollar tree does try to find the cheapest shit to stock their shelves. Take for example medicine. Name brand vs generic has to be the EXACT same function wise by LAW. However, people still think name brand meds are better. It's just misinformation.

Oh it's junk alright that's if you don't like cheese that has been processed with I don't know how many chemicals that's why I'd prefer real cheese over processed cheese anytime but it's significantly more expensive where I live a 2 pound block of real cheese cost somewhere around 7-to-9 dollars while a 2 pound block of processed cheese cost somewhere around 4-to-5 dollars.

Really? Did you know that you can get cancer from MANY sources, and in fact there are natural elements that can cause cancer, that are everywhere, namely radioactive isotopes? Might as well go live in a sterile bubble, but I doubt even that would help.

If i didn't use my fingers, I would have to pick things up with my mouth or even worse, my toes. But thanks for the suggestion, I will try it.
