So @Ivy, one thing i have noticed about such projects are that, they try to mazimize space, thereby eliminating much needed greenery, as Accra is getting warmer by the day. Also Ivy, you being part of the ''year of return,'' could you advice the tourisms minister, to convince the Government to find a way to get our roads swept of the accumulations of sand everywhere. Drone-shots everywhere in Accra makes it look too dirty for marketing as a tourists destination.

I no longer work for the government. After 5.5 years of working with Ghana Tourism Authority in the Year of Return/Beyond the Return office, I resigned from my position a month ago. The garbage in the streets needs to be a community effort. It's not only the government's responsibility, but every citizen should have pride and stop dropping garbage on the ground and in the gutters. It's a group effort. Both government and the citizens have to take action.

@IvyProsper it's still the responsibility of leadership to lead and citizens will follow. Baby Monkeys will always do what mother monkeys do

They advised the construction work they were doing the day I was there, it was not safe for me to go inside as a person not working on the project. When a unit is completed I will go back.

PLEASE IVY LETS STOP BULLSHITTING OURSELVES AND INDIGENOUS GHANAIANS ABOUT HOW WE IN THE WEST LIVE IN LUXURY. HOW MANY DIASPORANS LIVE IN LUXURY IN THE WEST? LETS STOP DECEIVING THE GHANAIANS THAT WE LIVE IN LUXURY IN THE WEST. PLEASE TELL THEM WE DIASPORAN ARE MORE LIKELY TO OCCUPY THE LOW STANDARD PROJECTS OR COUNCIL HOUSING.

I disagree with you Chale and this is where Ghanains need to be thinking differently. I live in luxury in the UK. I live my best life here. We work very hard so why not. You may live rubbish because maybe you send all your money to Ghana trying to build property you will hardly live in. No point Chale, revise your mind. Invest where you live and profit from the equity then buy something outright like this project 100 when you’re ready for a holiday home.

Personally I dont understand why are they importing so much from overseas ? This is why the building is so expensive. There so many artisans in Ghana that can be employed for projects. Need trees? Find local tree growers instead of importing from brazil, need appliances find a local artisan. I unfortunately will not be supporting this project. It’s just a marketing ploy to take advantage of the diaspora. Ivy please grill them as to why they are always importing. Also why are they doing studios? Studios is a western ideology they do that because they dont have space. We have a lot of land. More building of homes like pokuase heights for the locals to able to afford. More buildings with interiors made by african or local Ghanaian artisans that is how you keep the money circulating in the country

@@steamdecknation7908 Importing has become a norm in Ghana because Ghanaians themselves have placed a higher value on imported goods. This is something that has been an issue LONG before the influx of diaspora. Let me add that we need a mindset shift to change the thinking so that Ghanaians appreciate their own products rather than putting the foreign goods on a pedestal.
@IvyProsper18 күн бұрын
@@steamdecknation7908 I forgot to add, in Ghana they call a Studio a Single-Room.rental. The term studio is used for the foreigners. Also a 1 bedroom apartment, Ghanaians call it a 'Chamber and Hall' So the concept of a studio is not a foreign one.

I don’t like the idea of us building only for diasporas. We should be building for the local Ghanaian. We in the diaspora should not come and live any better than a Ghanaian can afford to live. We should not price out local Ghanaians from prime locations in ghana to make way for ppl in the diaspora. Hence I WILL NOT be supporting such an investment and i hope no one does either.
@IvyProsper19 күн бұрын
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. The building may be targeted at the diaspora, but local Ghanaians are not restricted from buying. There are Ghanaians who have bought in this building. The targeting of diaspora in this building is not about price. It's more about amenities and access to information that helps them have an easier transition when moving to Ghana. In fact there are homes in East Legon, owned by Ghanaians that are far more expensive than this apartment building. Appreciate you sharing your comment.

I don’t understand why people seem not to understand this. You must cut your coat according to your size. If you think you can afford, go in for it but if you can’t afford then go for what fits you and stop being rude and jealous. And also let help build our beloved country Ghana 🇬🇭 either you are in or outside Ghana. Thanks
