I miss when they kept the sale simple. 20% off for most everything and didn’t have to have an itinerary to figure out when what was on sale.

Fact and you have to pay additional shipping instead of one big order
@IV-fadАй бұрын
Yeah doing it this way is a strategy to get people to spend more. Gotta make each order at least $50 for free shipping and can't do one big order of everything you want by breaking up what's on sale.

I agree. Not a fan of the sale.

I can say that slx-a combo is one of 3 that i take on the water ALL the time, i popped it on the 7'5" Medium Heavy and its the one of the longest and lightest, most comfortable rods I have ever used. my other one is the BASSX 7'1" Medium heavy its THE lightest of all the MH I have and I popped on the Daiwa Tatula TW 100SH. The last one I bring on the water is a Daiwa Arid-X 7' ML and the Daiwa Laguna LT 1000 that is by far the the best feeling spinning combo I own and under $100.

The Daiwa Fuego for $109 is an amazing reel because it’s Magsealed, which means it’s got an extra level of water intrusion protection. I need that because my rods and reels often sit in bottom of my kayak where just a few inches of water can dunk a reel, so having some element of water protection is a big deal.

Yall should really go from expensive to cheap first.... like ultra high end to least expensive. People want to use the sales to buy the most expensive first before its sold out, not the other way around buying $100-$200 combos. By the time your high end guide drops, a lot of stock is already gone. Thanks for taking the time to make these, just thought i would provide some feedback. 😁

Other then online, the Abu Garcia Max Pro is probably the best bait caster reel you can get in my town. I bought one in the beginning of the season and I love it. The only problem I've I had with it is if I don't fish for a few days, when I take it out and check the drag it seems to lock up. I just loosen and readjust and I'm good for the day. Thank for another great one guys!
@d10dozerman2Ай бұрын
Here's a little advice my dad gave to me over 45+ yrs ago. When you are done fishing for the day you should ALWAYS and I state ALWAYS! back your drag completely off on all your reels.... By doing this I have NEVER had a problem with any of my reels, and this goes for my $80 reel to my $450 reels. Do as you please.

The 7'4 Heavy savage gear squad rod is phenomenal for the price. Plenty enough backbone to fish heavy cover but definitely not a pool cue. I've had a crazy good hook up to land ratio frog fishing with this rod in florida and landed multiple bass over 8lbs including a 10 out of Lilly pads with this thing. Really only used it so far for frogs and swim jigs so I can't talk much about sensitivity but it's a great for the price.

Sorry Gang, I fish BFS and the Abu Garcia BFS is by far the worse BFS reel on the market. Who ever heard of a BFS reel with a 20 lb. drag, the reel is incredibly heavy. I think they just slapped the name BFS on another reel and Ta Da a BFS reel. I struggled with a 1/8 oz lure on it. I immediately took the one I bought back for a refund. I will stick with my Shimano Calcutta Conquest BFS! Love your channel! Tight Lines!
@DavidBronstein1961Ай бұрын
Great recommendation on the Cashion Element bfs rod but a big miss on the Abu Garcia reel. For about the same $ and almost 2 ounces lighter the Ark Gravity BFS reel is amazing. I’ve fished it a whole season and backlashed only once-user error-and it is effortless to dial in. Guys, test this one on the water and start working it into your bfs recommendations. (And yes it’s on TW and in stock.)

I feel that for people who look for that magical middle ground where quality meets tight budget, the price is $150 when the sales are on. For spinning spend a bit less on the reel and do something like Tatula XT + Regal, for casting go the other way and spend a bit less on the rod, so Aird-X + Fuego CT.

The Falcon Lowrider Rods are hard to beat at the $100 price point. Especially with their warranty. I'd take them over the SLX any day.

Check out the Piscifun Alloy M and compare it to the Ardent Summit Hawk. It is identical inside and out. The side plates are interchangeable meaning the Ardent side plate fits the Alloy M. and the inside of the reels are as well. The Alloy M is $65 and the Ardent Summit Hawk is $239. The Alloy M has 20lbs of drag vs 15 for Ardent. The Alloy M is all aluminum frame with Brass gears. Its the best $65 reel on the market. I bought 1 and use it for flipping/punching heavy cover. They are built like a tank. I also bought their Aliijos 300 for Swimbaits and its phenomenal for $99. Do yourself a favor and compare the Ardent Summit Hawk to Alloy M. I have mainly Shimano, Diawa & Lews reels that are $300 and up but bang for buck the Piscifun Alloy M is phenomenal for $65. Just trying to save you money on identical reels. Shimano SLX XT is hard to beat for $129. Not familiar with FX Rods but Falcon Lowriders are hard to beat for $129. Hope this helps just trying to save you money but compare the 2 reels you will be shocked at the markup from Ardent

Good quality longer lasting reels start at 100$ for the most part with one or 2 exceptions. Rods start at 80$ plus most over 100$ still and with our economy theyve gotten more costly. Theres maybe a couple rods in that 55 to 60$ range thats good quality. If somoome wants longer lasting or fishes a lot id never suggest the cheap stuff because they just dont meet the standards to last as long as the 100$ plus aluminum framed reels and quality rods do.
